New Jersey Devils vs. Calgary Flames Prediction, NHL Odds

Calgary has also indicated they are open for business, and there is plenty of trade speculation around them.

The Devils, meanwhile, are just two points clear of last place in the Eastern Conference. It will be a while before either team is mathematically eliminated, but they both appear closer to that eventuality than contending for a playoff spot. Both teams could use these two points.

Devils vs. Flames NHL Betting Odds

The Devils are road favourites here as they are -130 on the money line and +185 to cover the puck line. The Flames are +105 to win outright at home. The game total is 6.0 with the over being -105 and the under being -115.

Neither team has lit it up in recent weeks. But they both have two wins in their last three games. This one appears closer than a -130 to +105 money line may indicate. Calgary has decent value here, having won three of their last four games and 10 out of their last 13 played at home. That could bode well for them facing a New Jersey team that has dropped five of their last seven and is 12-13 on the road this season.

New Jersey Devils

It has not been a fun month and a half for the Devils. Since the end of November, New Jersey is 8-15-1. If there is any glass half-full, it is that they have been ravaged by injuries. Still, with key players back in the lineup, results just have not been there.

During their current 2-5-0 run, the Devils have allowed 28 goals for an average of four goals conceded per game. That includes a brutal 9-0 loss to the Islanders. Even if that game was not as lopsided as it was, the Devils wouldn’t be better off, as they have scored just 14 goals during that span for an average of two goals per game.

Calgary Flames

The Flames have been tough to gauge all season. They got off to the worst start in hockey. Following that was a nice month and a half to end 2025. But then Calgary started 2026 with four straight losses by a combined score of 13-6.

Since snapping that losing streak, the Flames are 3-1-0. The strong play in the past week follows rampant trade rumours of multiple players on their team, specifically Rasmus Andersson, arguably Calgary’s best player. Trade rumours are difficult to deal with inside a locker room, but the Flames have handled it well so far.

NHL Prediction: Who Will Win Devils vs. Flames?

What gives the Flames more appeal in this one is home-ice advantage. As mentioned, the Flames have been buzzing at home. Their 10 wins in their last 13 home games gives them a 13-7-2 record at the friendly confines of Scotiabank Saddledome.

The Flames are also 16-6 against the spread on home ice. That indicates that even if they do not win, Calgary consistently keeps it close on home ice regardless of the opponent. The Flames have won two straight entering this game, most recently at home over an Islanders team that has been playing great. This one sets up well for the Flames to beat a vulnerable Devils team by a narrow 4-3 margin.
