After playing in Australia last Thursday, the 49ers have had a few extra days to prepare for this matchup. That extra prep time could come in handy, as the 49ers are already dealing with a plethora of lingering injuries. This week, both rookie WR De’Zhaun Stribling and TE Jake Tonges were placed on IR with season-ending injuries. While they won’t be available, other impact players such as Christian McCaffrey, Mike Evans, George Kittle and Trent Williams are all expected to be available.
The Dolphins have undergone plenty of changes over the offseason. Most notably, head coach Jeff Hafley took over from Mike McDaniel and Malik Willis is the starting quarterback with Tua Tagovailoa now in Atlanta. De’Von Achane is Miami’s most dangerous offensive weapon, but he couldn’t get much going in the season opener against Las Vegas. He recorded just 11 carries for 36 yards, which equated to a lowly 3.3 yards per rush. Looking to keep the ball out of Brock Purdy’s hands, Miami are likely to give Achane a higher volume of rushing attempts in this one. If the Dolphins have any chance at a major upset, getting Achane involved early and often seems to be the most logical way to do so.
San Francisco 49ers
George Kittle Over 3.5 receptions (-145)
Brock Purdy did a wonderful job of spreading the ball around to different receivers in Week 1. He completed 25 passes to 8 different receivers, but George Kittle only had a pair of catches on 5 targets. It’s clear that Purdy and Kittle have great chemistry, and it would be a bit surprising to see Kittle have another quiet game in this one.

Both the Raiders and Dolphins began new eras in their matchup last week, and the Raiders controlled the game from start to finish. Miami trailed 7-0 after the 1st quarter and 17-6 at halftime en route to suffering a 27-13 defeat. The offensive line was worrisome all game long, as Malik Willis was sacked 5 times and the running game couldn’t muster up much of anything. The 49ers completely shut down Matthew Stafford and the Rams in Week 1, so Willis and company will have their hands full in this matchup.
San Francisco 49ers
After losing to the eventual Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Divisional round last year, the 49ers are locked and loaded for another strong season. Injuries are already impacting their season, but they put forth a dominating Week 1 against the Rams, who are also expected to be among the NFL’s best teams this season. This matchup is much more manageable, and with some extra days to prepare, the 49ers should have little trouble cruising to a victory.
