Giants vs. Rams Week 2 Betting Odds, MNF Prediction and Picks: Can Jaxson Dart Stay Hot?
New York beat Dallas 28-20 in John Harbaugh’s Giants debut. Jaxson Dart threw three touchdown passes and rushed for 54 yards, becoming the first quarterback in NFL history to open a season with at least three passing touchdowns, 50 rushing yards and a 130 passer rating.
Los Angeles had a much rougher start, falling 27-7 to San Francisco in the NFL’s first regular-season game in Australia. The Rams now return from Melbourne for their home opener.
The matchup has changed considerably since the schedule was released. Los Angeles entered the season with championship expectations, but now faces an early test after its lopsided opening loss and an injury to star pass rusher Myles Garrett.

NFL Betting Odds, Point Spread, Trends
Los Angeles is currently a 7-point home favourite, with a -360 moneyline. The Giants sit at +285, while the total is 48.5 points.
The Rams were excellent against the spread at home last season, going 6-2 ATS at SoFi, the NFL’s best home cover rate at 75%. However, five of their eight home games stayed Under the total.
New York was just 4-13 straight up last season but went 9-8 ATS, including 5-4 on the road. Giants games also went 11-6 to the Over overall and 6-3 on the road.
Those trends point in opposite directions on the total. New York’s 28-20 victory over Dallas went Over in Week 1, while Los Angeles’ 27-7 loss to San Francisco stayed comfortably Under.
NFL Player Odds and Props
New York Giants
Jaxson Dart over 40 rushing yards (+164)
Dart rushed for 54 yards against Dallas, and his mobility gives New York another way to attack a Rams defence missing Garrett.
Malik Nabers over 70 receiving yards (+116)
Nabers returned from last season’s ACL and meniscus injuries in Week 1 and emerged without a setback, catching six passes for 69 yards. He also does not appear on New York’s initial Week 2 injury report.
Los Angeles Rams
Matthew Stafford over 250.5 passing yards (-115)
Stafford struggled along with the rest of the Rams’ offence against San Francisco, completing just 15 of 25 passes for 155 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. But the matchup looks more inviting this week.
Three of New York’s top four cornerbacks appeared on the initial Week 2 injury report.
Puka Nacua over 90 receiving yards (-101)
The Giants’ problems at cornerback make Nacua an appealing option. New York also allowed Dallas to repeatedly extend drives in Week 1, with the Cowboys converting 72% of their third downs.
Despite the Rams’ poor overall showing, Nacua did have 5 catches for 74 yards.
New York Giants
The Giants enter with considerable momentum after controlling the line of scrimmage against Dallas, but their secondary is the major concern heading into Monday.
Paulson Adebo, Deon Banks and Greg Newsome II all appeared on Thursday’s injury report ahead of a difficult matchup with Matthew Stafford, Nacua and Davante Adams.
Nabers, however, is not on the injury report following his return from knee surgery.
Los Angeles Rams
Los Angeles will be without Garrett, who is undergoing knee surgery and will miss at least four games. His absence removes one of the Rams’ biggest defensive weapons against a mobile quarterback in Dart.
The Rams also face an unusual turnaround after opening their season in Melbourne before returning to California for Monday’s home opener.
