Raiders vs. Chargers NFL Week 2 Betting Odds, Picks: Ashton Jeanty leading Las Vegas offence

Week 2 of the 2026 NFL season includes an AFC West showdown between the Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday afternoon in L.A.

Las Vegas kicked off its campaign with a 27-13 victory over Miami. Somewhat surprisingly, the season opener did not go nearly as well for Los Angeles. Despite a seemingly favourable matchup, the Chargers lost at home to the Cardinals 26-14.

Fortunately for the Bolts, the recent head-to-head series between these two division rivals is massively in their favour. Head coach Jim Harbaugh’s squad won all four matchups in his first two years as head coach, also covering the spread on all four occasions.

NFL Betting Odds, Point Spread, Trends

The Chargers come in as -6.5 favourites (-115) on the NFL odds, making the Raiders +6.5 underdogs (-105). On the moneyline, the home side is -298 and the visitors are +240. The game total is set at 43.5 points, with both the over and the under priced at -110.

Dating back to last season, Las Vegas is 3-1 against the spread in its last four contests. The over is 2-0 in its last two and 9-6 in its last 15. Los Angeles is 0-4 ATS in its last four overall. The under is 4-0 in its last four, 8-2 in its last 10 and 4-1 in its last five at home against the Raiders.

NFL Player Odds and Props

Las Vegas Raiders

Kirk Cousins – Under 192.5 passing yards (-114)

With running back Ashton Jeanty the focal point of the offence, veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins’s numbers on Sunday could be modest. Cousins opposes a Los Angeles defence that ranked fifth in passing yards allowed last season (179.9 per game). Under 192.5 passing yards (-114) is intriguing.

Los Angeles Chargers

Omarion Hampton anytime touchdown scorer (-140)

Dating back to last season, running back Omarion Hampton has scored a touchdown in three of the last four games and in four of the last six – including in last week’s loss to Arizona. Las Vegas allowed 22 rushing TDs last year – the third-most in the NFL. At -140, Hampton has good value to find the end zone.

Las Vegas Raiders

It’s early, but for now it looks like No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza may have to wait a while to see the field. Cousins played well enough in his Raiders debut, completing 21 of 30 passes for 160 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. Of course, running back Ashton Jeanty was the star of the offence. Jeanty rushed 23 times for 102 yards while making six receptions for 45 yards and two scores.

On the other side of the ball, Las Vegas is already benefiting from Maxx Crosby’s unexpected return. The star pass rusher recorded 1.5 sacks and one tackle for loss against the Dolphins. Kwity Paye recorded two of the Raiders’ five sacks and also two of their seven tackles behind the line of scrimmage.

Los Angeles Chargers

Relative to expectations, no team was worse in Week 1 than the Chargers. As -9.5 favourites, they got humiliated in front of their home fans by a lowly Arizona outfit. Quarterback Justin Herbert has some soul-searching to do after going just 17-of-27 for 209 yards with one touchdown and one interception. The defence underwhelmed, as well, giving up 393 total yards on 5.5 yards per play without forcing any turnovers.

Receiver Ladd McConkey (five receptions, 82 yards, one touchdown) is questionable for Sunday due to a rib injury. Safety Elijah Molden left last weekend’s game with a hamstring issue and is also questionable for Week 2.
