Rams vs. Ravens Point Spread: NFL Week 6 Odds, Prediction
NFL Week 6 continues on Sunday as the Los Angeles Rams head to M&T Bank Stadium for a matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.
The Rams need to bounce back after falling to the 49ers at home last week as heavy favourites, while the Ravens are in the midst of a free-fall following a blowout loss to the Houston Texans a week ago, dropping their record to 1-4 in the process.
With Los Angeles looking to reclaim first place in the NFC West and the Ravens hoping to salvage their season, let’s get into our Rams vs. Ravens prediction for Sunday.
The Rams are 7.5-point favourites on the NFL odds, with the total pegged at 45.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
Given the myriad of issues the Ravens are facing at the moment, the Rams are favoured by more than a touchdown over Baltimore on the road in this one. With Baltimore’s offence operating at a deficit without Lamar Jackson under centre, it’s also not a surprise that this total is in the mid-40s in this game.
The Rams are 3-2 against the spread this season, while the Ravens are a whopping 1-4 ATS, with Baltimore failing to cover in three consecutive games heading into this week.
The market is not very bullish on these offences, with Both Teams to score 20+ points priced at +140. The Rams team total is listed at 26.5 with -140 odds to the over, while the Ravens team total is priced at 18.5 with -110 odds on either side.
Los Angeles Rams
The Rams have to be kicking themselves after totally throwing away last week’s game to the 49ers on Thursday Night Football. In fact, Los Angeles was inside the red zone twice with a chance to win the game in regulation and overtime, but was unable to find the end zone on both occasions.
Things should come a lot easier for Matthew Stafford and the Rams offence this week, especially since they’ll be matching up against a Baltimore defence that has been one of the more disappointing units in football this season, and has now suffered a rash of injuries to boot. It would be hard to imagine Sean McVay’s team not bouncing back in a big way this week.
Baltimore Ravens
This had all the makings of a massive game a few weeks ago, but the news that Lamar Jackson is expected to miss his second consecutive game due to a hamstring strain has put a dampener on this contest. The Ravens’ offence is obviously operating at a massive disadvantage for this game without Jackson, as Baltimore might have the largest gap between a starting quarterback and his backup across the NFL.
Cooper Rush got the start last week for John Harbaugh’s team, and he promptly threw a trio of interceptions and failed to reach 200 passing yards as Baltimore finished with just 10 points against the Texans at home. The Rams’ defensive front is supremely talented, and Los Angeles is probably still smarting after its loss to the 49ers. All signs point to Rush struggling once again, if he indeed gets the start on Sunday.
NFL Prediction: Who Will Win Rams vs. Ravens?
Unfortunately, this game might not be all that compelling unless something miraculous changes with regards to Jackson’s status. The Rams are the better team as presently constructed, and it doesn’t help Baltimore’s case that Los Angeles is coming off a pretty embarrassing loss at home. Look for the Rams to take this one by a score of 27-13.
