Broncos vs. Jets Point Spread: NFL Week 6 Odds, Prediction

This game takes place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London at 9:30 AM ET on Sunday morning.

The Broncos, now 3-2, trailed 17-3 before scoring 18 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to knock the Eagles from the ranks of the unbeaten. Bo Nix, who struggled for most of the contest, went 12 for 13 for 136 yards and a touchdown down the stretch.

The Jets, meanwhile, fell to 0-5 after a deflating performance at home against the shorthanded Dallas Cowboys. Playing behind an offensive line featuring four backups, Dak Prescott tossed four touchdowns and Javonte Williams ran for 135 yards and another score in a 37-22 victory.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Denver is now 2-3 against the spread and 8-4 straight up and ATS in its last 12 games versus the Jets, who are 2-3 against the spread as well.

The Broncos have played to the Under four times in five games, while the Jets have played to the Over four times, primarily thanks to a defence that is giving up 31.4 points, the second-worst in the NFL.

Take a look at the Week 6 NFL odds here.

Denver Broncos

Last weekend was big for the Broncos. The defending Super Bowl champs, in their house, represented a prime opportunity for Denver and Nix to further prove that last season’s 10-7 Wild Card appearance was just the start, and not an anomaly after the franchise missed the postseason the previous eight seasons.

The same is true of Nix, who exceeded all expectations last year as a rookie, when he threw for 3,775 yards and 29 touchdowns. He also had 12 interceptions, and has four through five games this season. He’s exciting, he’s electric, but he’s also erratic. For the Broncos to take the next step, Nix needs to do the same thing himself.

New York Jets

The defeat to the Cowboys was arguably the worst yet this season for the franchise, which has failed to make the playoffs for 14 consecutive seasons. Dallas was missing four starting offensive linemen, and still ran all over New York’s D, which failed to record a takeaway for the fifth straight game. According to ESPN Research, the Jets are the only team to go five games to start the season without a takeaway since they first recorded this stat in 1933.

The defence stinks. If it weren’t for the Baltimore Ravens’ colossal collapse, the Jets would have the worst scoring defence in the league. Yet, the team remained hopeful with tight losses to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Miami Dolphins. This setback feels different, though. The season could implode quickly, and first-year coach Aaron Glenn might not be around to see its conclusion.

NFL Prediction: Who Will Win Broncos vs. Jets?

Denver should have no problem improving to 4-2 against these hapless Jets. However, the Broncos have played three games away from home, going 1-2, with each contest decided by no more than four points.

Add in the unpredictability of an international contest, and this result will most likely be tighter than expected. There have been three games played outside the United States so far this season, in Sao Paulo, Dublin, and last week in London. None were decided by more than six points. Look for the Broncos to win, but not cover, 27-21.
