Falcons vs. Raiders Point Spread: MNF Week 15 Odds, Prediction

The Raiders have big quarterback questions and are 4.5-point underdogs on the NFL odds.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

This is the last Monday night doubleheader of the season with Bears-Vikings kicking off at 8 p.m. ET and shown on ABC and then Falcons-Raiders at 8:30 on ESPN.

Las Vegas is playing out the string on another losing season amid some reports that first-year full-time coach Antonio Pierce might be in some trouble as the team has been an utter disaster. Pierce got the full-time gig after leading the Silver & Black to a 5-4 mark as the interim coach in 2023 after Josh McDaniels was fired. We expect Pierce back next season as it’s not his fault the team hasn’t been able to find a good starting quarterback. The Raiders will be absolutely taking one with their 2025 first-round pick – which could be No. 1 overall.

After Week 9, the Falcons were 6-3 and in charge of the NFC South, but they haven’t won since and are now in second place behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The good news is the remaining schedule including this game is quite easy so a playoff spot is very doable. To get there, Atlanta is +155 (includes both winning the North or earning a wild-card spot) with no at -180.

This marks the 16th all-time meeting between the franchises, all in the regular season, with Atlanta leading 8-7. Monday is the Falcons’ first-ever regular-season game in Las Vegas.

Atlanta Falcons

Quarterbacks can sometimes get too much credit and too much blame in the NFL and there are many reasons why the Falcons are on a four-game losing streak, but quarterback Kirk Cousins is the biggest one. He had two more picks in Sunday’s 42-21 loss at Minnesota and now has zero passing touchdowns and eight picks during the skid, while Atlanta’s opponents have 11 passing TDs and zero picks in that stretch. The Falcons are the first team in NFL history to have zero pass TDs and at least eight interceptions on offence and a minimum of eight pass TDs allowed and zero INTs on defence in a four-game span. Cousins had never had back-to-back games without a touchdown pass since becoming an NFL starter until this skid and is the first quarterback to go four games in a single season without a touchdown and at least eight interceptions since Brett Favre in 2005.

The Falcons shocked everyone by taking University of Washington QB Michael Penix Jr. at No. 8 overall in this year’s draft, but first-year coach Raheem Morris continues to back the veteran Cousins. Atlanta is averaging just 14.3 PPG during the losing streak. The under is 4-1 in the Falcons’ past five.

Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders and fellow 2-11 New York Giants are in a race to the bottom to finish with the league’s worst record and get the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft where both badly need a franchise quarterback. Las Vegas has the NFL’s longest losing streak at nine in a row following a 28-13 loss at Tampa Bay on Sunday. Raiders QB Aidan O’Connell, in his second game back after being sidelined nearly six weeks with a broken thumb, left injured and is in doubt for Monday. With former starter Gardner Minshew on injured reserve, that means Desmond Ridder could be in line to start here. He was a 2022 third-round pick of the Falcons and went 9-8 with that franchise in ’22-23 before being traded this offseason.

The Raiders’ top two running backs have both missed multiple games in a row. One huge bright spot this year has been Brock Bowers, whose 87 receptions are the most by a rookie tight end in history. His 933 receiving yards are third-most by a rookie tight end. Las Vegas is 7-3 SU in its past 10 Monday games.
