Week 10 of the 2025 NFL season will continue with a matchup between a couple of teams near the bottom of the league, as the Cleveland Browns head to New York to take on the Jets at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday. While this game represents a chance for both teams to pick up a rare victory, it also provides each side with a chance to see what they have at quarterback and evaluate what they need on their respective rosters going forward.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
The Jets haven’t been favourites all season long, and they will continue to be in the underdog role against Cleveland at home – as the Browns are 2.5-point favourites on the NFL odds in this one. It’s also not a surprise that this total is in the upper-30s, especially since the Browns’ offence has struggled on the road while the Jets’ offence has struggled for most of the season.
The Browns are 3-5 against the spread this season, while the Jets are 4-4 ATS. Games involving both teams typically go over the total, with the over cashing in nine of their 16 games played to this point.
Cleveland Browns
The Browns’ strength is clearly on the defensive side of the ball and that’s been able to keep them in some games to this point. That wasn’t the case two weeks ago, as the Patriots rolled past Cleveland in Foxborough. However, the Browns picked up a dominant win over the Dolphins back on October 19, which highlights the fact that Cleveland’s defence has been able to carry it in some games. Look for Myles Garrett and company to pin their ears back and limit the explosiveness of the Jets offence.
The issues for the Browns have come on offence, as rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel has struggled to push the ball downfield in every game to this point. Even with the Jets shedding a couple of their top players on defence, it’s not a guarantee that Gabriel and the Browns will suddenly see consistent success on the road. Look for Cleveland’s offence to struggle once again in this clash between AFC bottom feeders.
New York Jets
The Jets are in the midst of a total rebuild, and it’s been a very difficult season for new head coach Aaron Glenn. New York has found itself to be competitive more often than not this season, including a come-from-behind victory over the Cincinnati Bengals two weeks ago. Now, coming out of the bye week, the Jets are down a few key pieces on defence thanks to trades by the front office, but we’re not so sure that will impact them against the struggling Browns offence.
The primary issue for New York had been on offence, with Justin Fields struggling mightily this season, even putting his injury history aside. However, Fields and the rest of the offence broke out against Cincinnati, and the Jets might be able to carry some of that momentum over into this week. As long as New York can avoid a litany of costly turnovers, it should be able to keep this one close.
NFL Prediction: Who Will Win Browns vs. Jets?
This line feels a bit inflated on the Browns, especially given how these teams have performed recently. While Cleveland appears to be the clear better defence as presently constructed, it’s not enough to justify the Browns being a road favourite in this one. Ultimately, let’s look for the Jets to pull off the short upset in what should be a struggle in the region of 20-17.
