EPL Soccer Betting Odds: Manchester City’s Antoine Semenyo is +200 anytime scorer vs. Crystal Palace

The Premier League’s second week of games in the 2026/2027 season hits the turf this weekend, as nine teams stand at three points each after Liverpool and Newcastle were the only teams to draw on matchday one.

First-place Brighton take on sixth-place Chelsea, as the Seagulls’ Jack Hinshelwood leads the scoring charts as the only player with two goals so far. The two newly promoted teams of Hull City and Coventry face off against each other for the first time in the EPL, as Antoine Semenyo looks to net his first goal of the season for City.

It all starts with Manchester City vs. Crystal Palace Friday at 3 p.m. ET before a slew of games takes over the weekend for an exciting matchday two of English football.

Chelsea vs. Brighton best bet: Over 2.5 goals (-142)

Chelsea kicked off their 2026/27 campaign with a proper 3-2 result after holding on to Cole Palmer’s 49′ goal to seal the win against Fulham on Monday. Former Real Madrid player and coach Xabi Alonso laid out a brilliant 3-4-3 formation, as all three forwards – Morgan Roger, Joao Pedro and Palmer – found the back of the net to give the Blues their first victory of the season. While Chelsea’s offence operated exceptionally in the first half of the game, their three-back shape led to some close calls, and Robert Sanchez had a subpar match, letting two goals past him with only four saves on the afternoon. Alonso will likely put out a similar format this time at home against Brighton, which means more goals to be had, as well as allowed.

While only one game into the season, Brighton lead in goals-for with four total after the Seagulls dominated Aston Villa with four first-half scores. In fact, they saw an own goal from Victor Lindelöf to open the scoring before Maxim de Cuyper and Hinshelwood’s brace added to the massive four-goal tally. A red card for Villa’s Joao Gomes only solidified Brighton’s leverage, as the team dished out 17 total shots, six on target, with 72 per cent possession. Facing Alonso’s team will be a real test though, helping to determine if the ‘Gulls are up to the task this season.

Considering both sides have seven goals between them, and Brighton come to Stamford Bridge, expect at least one goal from both sides. Over 2.5 is probable to hit in this one.

Coventry vs. Hull City best bet: Draw (+250)

Both sides are fresh to the EPL this season after having wonderful performances in the Championship. Coventry, in particular, dominated the EFL Championship with 97 goals, although they didn’t start their top-flight campaign as hoped with a 3-0 loss against the tough 2025/2026 EPL victors of Arsenal. While completely shut out in this matchup on away grounds, they did snatch a 4-2 victory on Tuesday against Plymouth in the EFL Cup second round. They are more than capable of scoring, but the absence of last year’s leading goalscorer Haji Wright will have a huge impact on the team until his return, likely around November.

Hull City, on the other hand, pulled off a spectacular 2-0 win over Manchester United at home to shut out the Red Devils against the odds. Even without the top scorer from last season, Oliver McBurnie, striking the back of the net here, the Tigers’ Semi Ajayi and Nobel Mendy led the way with both of the team’s first-half goals. The side recently drew 1-1 with Stoke City on Tuesday before coming out victorious in penalties in the EFL Cup second round. Last season, Hull City allowed many more goals than their Coventry opponents, and they now head to opposition territory at Coventry Building Society Arena.

While Coventry statistically have the upper hand from last season, missing their top goalscorer while coming off of a fresh loss will weigh heavily on their minds, although they do have home-field advantage for the first time this season. Hull City will be riding high morale though, and with these factors in mind, this fixture is set up for a draw, possibly 2-2, at the end of 90′.

Antoine Semenyo anytime goalscorer (+200) in Crystal Palace vs. Man City

After a big transfer from Bournemouth to City last season, the Ghanaian striker continued his goalscoring crusade to reach 17 goals in the league. He has yet to bag his first goal of the season, but with the bar set high for City, he could be the one to make a difference in a crucial matchup against Palace.
