2026 Tour Championship: PGA Tour Golf Betting Odds
The PGA Tour’s FedExCup playoffs and official season conclude this week with the Tour Championship in Atlanta, although the event will not be held at East Lake for much longer. The Top 30 in points advanced, and it’s a regular stroke-play event with no cut. Per usual, Scottie Scheffler is the clear favourite on the golf odds.

The unlucky golfer sitting at No. 31 points after Sunday’s final round of the BMW Championship in St. Louis won by Wyndham Clark was the USA’s Kurt Kitayama, while Ryan Fox was the “bubble boy” at No. 30. Three players moved into the Top 30 at the BMW: Gary Woodland jumped from 31st to 18th in points and will make his first start at the Tour Championship since 2019; Patrick Cantlay moved from No. 43 to No. 19; and Robert MacIntyre jumped from No. 36 to No. 25. Kitayama, Rickie Fowler and Bud Cauley fell out of the Top 30.
The Tour Championship used to have that confusing head-start format where the points leader would start the tournament at 10 under and two clear of the No. 2 points guy with a sliding scale. But no one really understood that, so it went back to a regular 72-hole stroke play in 2025. Thus, there is zero benefit nowadays entering with a massive points lead like Scottie Scheffler has.
England’s Tommy Fleetwood got his first PGA Tour win and the big FedExCup playoff check with it in 2025, finishing at 18-under 262 and three up on Americans Cantlay and Russell Henley. Fleetwood had a handful of international wins previously but had been arguably the best player yet to win on the PGA Tour. He has not gotten a second victory yet and is +2000 to repeat – no one has done that in this event.
East Lake Golf Club is a par 70 at 7,490 yards and has been the host club of the Tour Championship since 2005. With LIV Golf in shambles, the PGA Tour is in the midst of making changes itself. The Tour Championship will return to Atlanta in 2027, but starting in 2028 a rotation of courses will host. East Lake may or may not be a part of that rotation.

Tour Championship Golf Odds
This marks the fifth straight year that world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (+350) enters the Tour Championship at No. 1 in the FedExCup standings. His only title at East Lake came in 2024 when he finished at 30 under after starting at 10 under. Scheffler finished T4 last year at 14 under, four behind the winner.
Rory McIlroy (+950) looks to extend his record of FedExCup titles to four, with the last in 2022 when he won this event for a third time. He also won it in 2018 when it was also part of that weird format and in 2016 when it was regular stroke play. McIlroy comes off a third-place finish Sunday in St. Louis at the BMW Championship.
Xander Schauffele (+1200), Ludvig Aberg (+1600), Matt Fitzpatrick (+1800) and Wyndham Clark (+1800) round out the favourites. Among players in the field, no one since 2020 has a better stroke average at East Lake than Schauffele’s 66.75. He has a few runners-up in this decade and won the tournament in 2017. Aberg was T21 last year, while neither Fitzpatrick nor Clark qualified in 2025.
The lone Canadian winner of the Tour Championship was Mike Weir in 2001 but none are in this year’s field after Corey Conners finished T4 in 2025.
Tour Championship Golf Predictions
I will take the USA’s Russell Henley at +3000. He was 13th in 2023, fourth in 2024 and runner-up last year. He has a 2026 win and not been outside the Top 30 in his past five events overall.
