Rams vs. Panthers Point Spread: NFL Week 13 Odds, Prediction

The NFC’s hottest team heads to Charlotte as the Los Angeles Rams face the Carolina Panthers on Sunday at 1:00 pm ET. With a dominant 34-7 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Los Angeles has now won six straight and moved into the NFC’s No. 1 seed. During this dominant six-week run, the Rams (+425) have emerged as Super Bowl LX favourites, and quarterback Matthew Stafford is now the favourite to win the league’s MVP award at -235.

A 20-9 setback at the San Francisco 49ers means Carolina has alternated wins and losses over the past six weeks and stands a half-game behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC South. The Panthers now have to face a surging offence with their best defensive back, Jaycee Horn, potentially unavailable.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Rams are 9-2 straight up and 8-3 against the spread. They are 10-1 ATS on the road dating back to last season, including 4-1 ATS this year. Los Angeles has played to the under five times in six games. Carolina is 6-6 straight up and 7-5 against the spread. They have played to the over seven times in their last nine contests at Bank of America Stadium.

The NFL odds have the Rams as big 10.5-point road favourites.

Los Angeles Rams

The Rams are getting the job done on both sides of the ball. Stafford is having the best season of his 17-year career. He’s thrown for 2,830 yards and 30 touchdowns against just two interceptions.

He has completed 308 passes without a pick, going back nearly nine games. His last interception came on the first drive of Los Angeles’ 33-26 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3… in September. He’s now thrown 27 straight touchdown passes without an interception. He’s got Puka Nacua (80-947-4 TDs) and Davante Adams (48-631-12 TDs) on the outside and Kyren Williams (980 yards, nine total TDs) to both hand off and throw to.

Combine that with the Rams top-ranked (16.3 ppg) scoring defence, and you have the recipe for a Super Bowl champion.

Carolina Panthers

The Panthers have surprised this season, but they may be reaching their ceiling. Coming off a franchise-record 448 yards passing in a 30-27 overtime win over the Falcons last week, Bryce Young threw for just 169 yards while getting picked off twice against San Francisco.

Carolina picked off Brock Purdy three times in the first half, but could only muster three points. Horn, who had two of those interceptions, is tied for the NFL lead with five, but he suffered a concussion and may not play against the Rams.

Unfortunately, Carolina cannot play Atlanta every week. The Panthers are 6-32 against teams above .500 since 2019. Young is just 1-12 in those situations, another of which occurs against the Rams on Sunday.

Who Will Win Rams vs. Panthers?

Carolina started the season 3-0 at home, but has combined to score just 16 points in consecutive double-digit losses to the Buffalo Bills and the New Orleans Saints. The Rams aren’t who they want to see coming in next.

Los Angeles has won its last six games by an average of 18.5 points while recording five double-digit victories. Look for a similar result here and take the Rams to win somewhere in the region of 35-13.
