Dallas has won three straight on the road, including an 89-76 victory over the Tempo in Toronto on Sunday. The Wings are 14-8 overall, and their eight road wins are more than they had in the last two seasons combined.

Jessica Shepard had 22 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists for her third double-double of the season, while Paige Bueckers had 15 points, seven rebounds and six assists, and Awak Kuier contributed 10 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists when the Wings defeated the Liberty in New York for the second time this season on Tuesday, 88-77.

Meanwhile, the Tempo have lost three straight and seven of nine; they are 1-3 on their season-long nine-game homestand. Isabelle Harrison had 24 points and eight rebounds, and Marina Mabrey – the first All-Star in franchise history – had 11 points and six rebounds, but the Tempo fell to the Golden State Valkyries on Wednesday, 83-75.

If you’re betting on the WNBA in Canada, our WNBA betting guide breaks down odds, key markets and the strategies that can help you make smarter wagers throughout the season.

Dallas Wings

Everyone expected the ascendancy of Bueckers and Azzi Fudd, the past two No. 1 overall picks. Bueckers, the reigning Rookie of the Year, was just named to her second straight All-Star Game as the leading vote-getter. She ranks in the league’s top 10 in scoring and assists.

Shepard’s rapid rise stands out a bit more. She was a solid contributor throughout her five seasons in Minnesota, but she has blossomed in her debut campaign with the Wings. Shepard, who was just named to the All-Star game for the first time, just became the second player in league history with three triple-doubles in a season.

The six-foot-four forward is averaging career highs in points, rebounds, assists and steals. Her 11.5 rebounds per game are second in the WNBA.

Toronto Tempo

The Tempo are running out of players. They have now gone six games without Brittney Sykes, who was averaging 20.1 points before suffering a left plantar fascia injury. The Tempo are 2-4 without her.

Rookie Kiki Rice averaged 12.7 points and 4.7 rebounds in her first 10 games, but she has now missed more than a month with a Grade 3 ankle sprain. Reserve center Tami Fagbenle has missed two straight games with a concussion. All three players are sidelined again this evening.

Nyara Sabally is averaging 11.2 points and 4.9 rebounds in 15 games this season. She is questionable this evening with a lingering knee issue.

WNBA Prediction: Who will win Wings vs. Tempo?

Mabrey made the All-Star Game for the first time in her eighth season. She has been solid as a rock for the Tempo, but she is not enough on her own.

The Wings never trailed in their 13-point victory here on Sunday. Expect a similar result tonight. Take Dallas to win, 92-82.
