Rams vs. Titans Point Spread: NFL Week 2 Odds, Prediction

Los Angeles has been a perennial playoff team in recent years and continues its winning ways with a 14-9 victory over the Houston Texans. The Titans had the No. 1 overall draft pick this spring thanks to a 3-14 record in 2024, and a familiar result was had last weekend in the form of a 20-12 setback against the Denver Broncos.

The Rams and Titans faced each other in one of the most memorable Super Bowls ever (1999 season), but there is otherwise little head-to-head history between these two teams in different conferences. They have squared off just twice in the past decade, splitting those two encounters at one victory apiece.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Rams come in as considerable -5.5 favourites (-115), making the Titans +5.5 underdogs (-105) on the NFL odds for Week 2. On the money line, the visitors are -250 and the home side is +200. The game total is 41.5 points, with both the Over and the Under priced at -110.

Los Angeles is on fire against the spread. Dating back to the 2024 campaign, it has covered in four straight games and in eight of its last nine. Tennessee ended last season by failing to cover the spread in its final six contests, but it covered – albeit by a single point – last weekend against Denver.

Los Angeles Rams

The Rams prevailed in Week 1 even though the offense sputtered. They rushed for just 72 yards on 25 attempts (2.9 average) against the Texans. Moreover, offensive linemen Steve Avila and Kevin Dotson both sustained ankle injuries and are currently listed as questionable.

On the bright side, quarterback Matthew Stafford appears to be 100% after going into the season with question marks surrounding a back problem. The 37-year-old went 21-of-29 for 245 yards with one touchdown and zero interceptions. Puka Nacua, Stafford’s favorite receiving target, made 10 receptions for 130 yards.

Tennessee Titans

This matchup is a tale of two quarterback generations. Tennessee’s Cam Ward is 14 years younger than Stafford at 23, and he is set for his second NFL start after being drafted No. 1 overall this spring. Ward’s debut was unspectacular; he completed 12 of 28 passes for 112 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions and one fumble lost. The Titans averaged a horrendous 2.4 yards per play against Denver – and not just because of Ward’s struggles. They rushed for just 71 yards on 21 attempts.

On the other side of the ball, cornerback L’Jarius Sneed is questionable, along with linebacker Arden Key and tackle T’Vondre Sweat. Sneed (quadriceps) did not play in the second half against Denver.

NFL Prediction: Who Will Win Rams vs. Titans?

Both teams played low-scoring season openers, and more of the same could be in store for Sunday. It’s hard to have much faith in Ward – a rookie quarterback – going up against Jared Verse and a Los Angeles defence that stymied C.J. Stroud and the Texans last weekend.

Tennessee’s defence played well in Week 1, but there are some health concerns. The bottom line is that one team has a Super-Bowl-winning QB, and the other side has one with basically no experience. Let’s go with Rams 23, Titans 16.
