Arsenal vs. Chelsea best bet: Draw (+270)
Mikel Arteta’s Gunners boast a mighty return this season as they go 2-for-2 to kick off the EPL with the highest GD in the league (+4) along with Manchester City. Arsenal have scored seven goals in their last three matchups, including the Community Shield against City, and have yet to allow a goal in their domestic league, a feat only the Gunners and Hull City hold so far this season. After defeating last year’s Europa League champions, Aston Villa, 1-0 on the road on Monday for their third shutout win in a row, Arteta’s team will be fired up to take on the Blue London rivals at the Emirates Stadium.
However, as of the first two games this season, Chelsea looks completely rebranded under Xabi Alonso’s management, with Cole Palmer looking refreshed as ever with two goals to his name, after being left out of the English World Cup squad. So far, the Blues have the highest goal count this season with seven total, a stark contrast to Arsenal’s play style, which may fare well against the Gunners’ defensive tendencies. With two back-to-back Premier League wins against Fulham and Brighton, along with an EFL Cup second-round victory against Luton Town, the Blues won’t hold back against last year’s English champions.
Given the nature of this rivalry and Chelsea’s now dominant offence going against Arsenal’s established defence, both sides will be playing with minimal risk, so expect this one to end in a draw, and possibly finish with under 2.5 goals.
Everton vs. Manchester United best bet: Over 2.5 goals (-138)
Everton take the reins in this matchup as they sit just above United in seventh place after a victory in their season opener against Crystal Palace and a draw against Bournemouth last Saturday. Following their win in the first game of the season, the Toffees dominated Preston 4-0 in the second round of the EFL Cup on a Thierno Barry hat trick, now with four goals in his last three matchups. Everton will need to play this matchup defensively sound, and expect to see less of the ball against United’s midfield, although the side will be delighted to take home-field advantage with a positive GD (+2) before the start of this one.
While United sit in 10th place on the standings after an uncomfortable shutout loss to newly promoted Hull City at the start of the season, we’ve seen them climb back from a deficit just last season to rally for a third-place finish. Despite the awkward start this year, they are in decent shape, with Bruno Fernandes leading the scoring charts with three of the team’s five goals, as the Red Devils hit a positive GD after only allowing four in total with their forceful 5-2 win over Ipswich Town last Sunday. Heading to Hill Dickinson Stadium won’t be forgiving, though, considering they did already lose one game on the road, as the team will have to make sure to lock down Barry and Kieran Dewsbury-Hall to maintain any advantage.
We’ve seen both Fernandes’s and Barry’s scoring capabilities, and with Everton at home and United averaging 2.5 goals a game after two so far, it’s looking like this matchup is bound to hit over 2.5 goals here or even both teams to score at -168.

After a goal-less opening to the season, Haaland bounced back with a brace against Palace to climb the scoring charts as City dominated with 17 shots and nine on target. Now at home against Coventry, this is more than likely to happen again, so bank on the City star striker to fire home at least one goal here.
