Bengals vs. Chargers Point Spread: SNF Week 11 Odds, Prediction
The Chargers opened their current three-game home stand with last week’s 27-17 win over Tennessee and have now claimed victory by an average margin of 16.3 points during their impressive 3-0 run. Conversely, the Bengals have seen their playoff hopes while losing two of their past three, capped by last week’s 35-34 loss to Baltimore on Thursday Night Football, which put the brakes on the team’s three-game road win streak.
The Chargers lead the way as 1.5-point home favourites on the Week 11 SNF odds. The Bengals trail as +105 NFL moneyline underdogs and the total is pegged at 47.5.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
The Chargers have largely dominated in recent dates with Cincinnati, winning three straight and four of five including a 26-21 win in the Bengals’ last visit back in 2018. LA has limited the Bengals to just 18 points per game during their 4-1 head-to-head run, but have managed to cover the spread just twice and have failed to earn a win against the spread in five home dates with Cincinnati since 2001. Paying out on the NFL odds has not been a problem for the Chargers of late. The squad has gone 4-1-1 ATS in their past six contests. However, the Chargers have enjoyed the benefit of a favourable schedule and have seen their six victories this season come against opponents outside the playoff picture, who have averaged fewer than three wins this season. The Bengals have also seen their four wins come against opponents with losing records but have gone 0-5 SU and 1-4 ATS in dates with opponents currently in playoff contention.
Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals came within a missed two-point conversion in the dying seconds of upsetting the Ravens in primetime last week after storming to an early 14-point lead, extending their defensive woes when facing qualify opponents. While the Cincinnati defence has slammed the door in the team’s wins over the Raiders, Browns, Giants, and Chargers, they have been lit up for an average of 37.8 points in their four most recent defeats including the Eagles and Commanders, and two losses to the Ravens. On a positive note, Joe Burrow has finally swung into form after a slow start. The Bengals pivot racked up 428 passing yards in last week’s loss and has connected on nine scoring passes in the past two weeks. Ja’Marr Chase is coming off a sensational 264-yard, three-touchdown performance last week. However, the status of receiver Tee Higgins remains uncertain after the veteran receiver remained limited at practice this week with a quad injury.
Los Angeles Chargers
While Joe Burrow has been lighting up opposing pass defences, his Chargers counterpart Justin Herbert has been using all tools at his disposal to power LA on their current win streak. Herbert made just 18 pass attempts in last week’s win over the Titans but extended his TD passing streak with his fifth scoring toss in three games while adding his first scoring run of the season. Herbert has been far more mobile than usual in recent weeks, averaging over 40 rushing yards over his past two home games and contributing to a ground game that has recorded five total scoring runs over the past three games. JK Dobbins has led the charge in that department, averaging 64 yards and running for three touchdowns over that stretch.
