Kirk Cousins has thrown three touchdowns in each of his first two starts with the Raiders, and Klint Kubiak is just the fourth coach in franchise history to win his first two games.
The New Orleans Saints are 1-1, but they are a team nobody wants to see right now. They came within a two-point conversion of winning in Detroit after trailing 21-0, then rallied from 17-9 down in the fourth quarter to stun the Baltimore Ravens 24-17. After two straight road games, Tyler Shough and company finally get to play in front of their own fans.

New Orleans has been one of the best bets in football. The Saints have covered eight straight games dating back to last November, and they did it this season as road underdogs of at least seven points against both Detroit and Baltimore.

Ashton Jeanty is the Raiders’ workhorse, but the second-year back is averaging just 3.4 yards per carry (150 yards on 44 attempts). Both of his touchdowns came through the air in Week 1. He’s the favourite to score on Sunday at -125, which is a steep price for a back who managed 48 yards on 21 carries against the Chargers.
New Orleans Saints
Chris Olave is off to a monster start. The WR has 18 catches for 268 yards and a touchdown through two games, including a career-best 182 yards on 10 grabs in Detroit. He has gone over his receiving yards prop in 11 of his last 15 games. It currently sits at 79.5.
Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders are 2-0 for the first time since 2021, and the defence has led the way. Las Vegas has allowed 13.5 points per game, its eight sacks are tied for the league lead, and it has forced a league-high six fumbles. Rookie Hezekiah Masses picked off Justin Herbert twice last week, becoming the first Raiders rookie with multiple interceptions in a game since 1979.
Cousins has completed 68 per cent of his passes for 413 yards, six TDs and three INTs, while Tre Tucker (five catches for 119 yards and a score against the Chargers) and Cody White have stepped up. The offence could also get a big boost, as Brock Bowers (knee) was limited Wednesday but is expected to make his season debut after missing the first two games following meniscus surgery.
New Orleans Saints
Kellen Moore’s team has shown plenty of fight. After falling behind 21-0 in Detroit, the Saints forced overtime, answered a Lions touchdown, and went for two and the win, but Shough’s pass fell incomplete in a 31-30 loss. A week later, Shough went 12-of-14 for 119 yards with a passing TD and the game-winning QB sneak in the fourth quarter to beat Baltimore. His 662 passing yards lead the NFL and are the most by a Saints quarterback through two games since Drew Brees in 2009.
There are some concerns. Left tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. is on injured reserve after ankle surgery, Shough has already been sacked eight times, and the ground game is averaging just 3.0 yards per carry.
