Winnipeg Jets vs. Anaheim Ducks Prediction, NHL Odds

The two points were not very consequential for the Jets, as they moved Winnipeg up to nine points out of a playoff spot. The two points were meaningful for the Ducks, though.

Anaheim’s playoff hopes are very much alive. Their 65 points have them occupying second-place in the Pacific division on Thursday with two games in hand on Edmonton. With the runway of the regular season shortening, the effort and urgency will only increase down the stretch.

Jets vs. Ducks NHL Betting Odds

The money line favours the Ducks with odds of -125 to the Jets’ +100. For those more bullish on Anaheim, they are +185 to cover the -1.5 puck line. With the game total set at 6.0, the over is -118 and the under is -102.

There are no surprises on these game lines. The Ducks are 10-2-0 in their last 12 games and have won six consecutive home games. Anaheim also won the sole matchup against Winnipeg this season by a score of 4-1. The near-coin-flip game total tracks as well, as the under has trended in Jets games while the over has trended in Ducks games.

Winnipeg Jets

The Jets are a curious case in the 2025-26 NHL season. They still have several players from last year’s incredible team. Yet, they are unlikely to make the playoffs with just 25 games remaining. The Jets have endured a few injuries, but not enough to justify their underperformance this season.

The glass half-full approach is that Winnipeg still has several key players capable of carrying the team. Their top line of Mark Scheifele, Kyle Connor, and Gabriel Vilardi have a combined 75 goals and 186 points in 171 games played this year. Winnipeg also has the best goalie in the league whose trophy case is growing year by year. They can give any team a tough game despite an underwhelming spot in the standings.

Anaheim Ducks

The Ducks have missed the playoffs the last seven seasons, and they are not interested in making it eight. Anaheim has a great mix of young talent and veteran presence that has performed above many expectations. As good as they are, they are far from perfect.

Consistency and clean performances have been elusive for Anaheim. Among NHL ranks, they are 14th in goals scored per game, 30th in goals allowed per game, 22nd on the power play and 18th on the penalty kill. With that, the Ducks have gone through a couple ugly stretches. However, this is a resilient team that will rely on their Hall of Fame coach to keep them locked in for a playoff push.

NHL Prediction: Who Will Win Jets vs. Ducks?

On Wednesday, the Jets narrowly beat the lowly Canucks and the Ducks narrowly beat the consecutive reigning Western Conference champion Oilers. The win was the third in their last eight for Winnipeg, and was the 10th in 12 games for Anaheim.

The Ducks have been the better team for a longer period of time against stronger opponents. As such, they are the more reliable play in this one, and the two points are more important for them than their opponent. Look for a strong effort from the Ducks to win 4-3.
