NFL Week 8 Predictions and Picks: Who We’re Backing Against the Spread
For the first time in a while, we have no NFL games from Europe this week as we move into November on Sunday. On the bye are New Orleans, the New York Giants, San Francisco and Houston. Here’s a look at all of the matchups with ATS picks on the NFL Week 8 odds. Games Sunday unless noted.
Panthers at Packers: Can Green Bay Bounce Back at Lambeau?
Green Bay lost in Detroit on Sunday in part because the Packers can’t run the ball. Their 450 yards rushing are the fewest by a team with a winning record through seven games in league history. Top running back Josh Jacobs at least did make his season debut off suspension. Carolina is vastly improved but didn’t look the part Sunday in 43-13 home loss to Tampa Bay. The Panthers don’t win when Bryce Young turns the ball over, and he had three giveaways.
Spread
Point spread: Packers -3.5
Pick ATS: Green Bay alt -3
Ravens at Bills: Lamar Jackson’s Status Changes Everything
One of the marquee matchups of Week 8 between former league MVPs in Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen. At least the hope is Jackson can play. He hasn’t played since Week 4 due to a high-ankle sprain but was relatively close Sunday when the Ravens were stomped 35-13 at home by Cincinnati. The team is now 7-14 without Jackson, including playoffs, since his first NFL start in 2018. Buffalo comes out of its bye week with Allen as the +165 leader to join Jackson as a multiple-time MVP.
Point spread: Bills -3.5
Pick ATS: Buffalo alt -3
Titans at Bengals: Cincinnati Looks to Build on Huge Comeback
Tennessee was trying for a rare winning streak on Sunday but lost 27-24 at home to Cleveland, the team’s 14th straight loss following a win. That’s the second-longest streak in NFL history. Cincinnati was down 13-0 in Baltimore at the half on Sunday … yet won 35-13. Joe Burrow was nearly perfect after intermission in completing 16 of 18 for 249 yards and four scores.
Spread
Point spread: Bengals -10.5
Pick ATS: Cincinnati alt -10
Cardinals at Cowboys: Dallas Offence Gets a Softer Landing Spot
Short week for Dallas after winning 38-21 in Philadelphia on Monday night to snap a two-game skid. Javonte Williams rushed for a career-high 155 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries, and Dak Prescott had three TD passes. To no surprise, the Cardinals were easily handled at home Sunday by Denver, 30-16. They have now dropped 10 in a row at home, the franchise’s longest such skid since 13 in a row from 1942-45. Trey McBride had another big game to become the NFL’s first tight end with at least seven catches in nine straight games (dating to last season).
Point spread: Cowboys -6.5
Pick ATS: Dallas
Vikings at Lions: The NFL’s Last Unbeaten Team Faces Detroit
Minnesota escaped yet again on Sunday, 16-10 over Indianapolis and is now the NFL’s only unbeaten club, which I doubt many people were expecting. The Vikings have scored just 10 total touchdowns this year, fewest by a 6-0 team since the 1934 Lions. The most recent time the last undefeated team won a Super Bowl was the 2006 Colts. Detroit won a wild 20-17 game Sunday over Green Bay on a walk-off field goal. QB Jared Goff still hasn’t thrown a pick in 2026, and his 223 attempts without one are the most in the first games of a season in league history.
Point spread: Lions -3
Pick ATS: Detroit alt -2.5
Raiders at Jets: Something Has to Give in New York
When might the Raiders turn things over to rookie No. 1 overall QB Fernando Mendoza? Apparently not quite yet. They lost a fourth straight game Sunday, 35-21 at home to the Rams. The defence has allowed at least 30 points in each game of that run. The Jets were upset at home by a bad Miami team, 28-25, to put some heat on coach Aaron Glenn. He and star wideout Garrett Wilson were seen yelling at one another on the sideline.
Point spread: Jets -1.5
Pick ATS: New York
Browns at Steelers: Cleveland’s Surprise Start Gets Another Test
Cleveland continues to surprise as the AFC North leader and won 27-24 at Tennessee on Sunday. The 5-2 start ties the franchise’s best since returning to the NFL in 1999. All five wins have come by four points or fewer. Pittsburgh beat New Orleans, 16-10, in Paris on Sunday. Aaron Rodgers threw his 540th career pass TD in the second quarter to pass Peyton Manning for third-most in NFL history. Cleveland beat the visiting Steelers, 27-24, in Week 4 on Thursday night.
Spread
Point spread: Steelers -3.5
Pick ATS: Pittsburgh alt -3
Falcons at Buccaneers: Atlanta Tries to Follow Up Its Biggest Win
Tampa Bay QB Baker Mayfield returned from a multi-game absence Sunday and boy did the Bucs respond in a 43-13 win at Carolina. But the Bucs did that largely with their defence and running game in attempting only 11 passes. Those were the fewest by any team in at least a 30-point win since 1993. The Falcons knocked the visiting 49ers from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 29-20 upset. Atlanta finished the game on a 26-6 run after trailing 14-3. It had been 0-3 at home.
Spread
Point spread: Bucs -1.5
Pick ATS: Atlanta
Colts at Jaguars: Jacksonville Can Take Control of the AFC South
Jacksonville is out of its bye week already with a three-game lead in the loss column atop the AFC South. The Jags are the only team with a positive points differential in the division at plus-50. It’s their first true home game since Sept. 27 after playing the past two in London. The Colts lost a third straight game Sunday, 16-10 at Minnesota, and it’s only a matter of time before Coach Shane Steichen is fired. QB Daniel Jones is regressing, but Steichen says he’s still the starter.
Spread
Point spread: Jaguars -7.5
Pick ATS: Jacksonville alt -7
Chargers at Rams: Which L.A. Team Can Salvage Its Season?
Both Los Angeles teams were supposed to be Super Bowl contenders but both have disappointed. The Chargers are a shock 0-6 out of their bye, yet offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel wasn’t fired during it in a minor surprise. QB Justin Herbert has looked lost. The Rams avoided a third straight loss Sunday with a 35-21 win in Las Vegas. Matthew Stafford passed Roman Gabriel for the most pass TD in Rams history to become the only QB in NFL history to hold the passing TD record for multiple teams (also Detroit).
Spread
Point spread: Rams -7
Pick ATS: Chargers alt +7.5
Chiefs at Broncos: Denver Gets Another Shot at Kansas City
Big game in the AFC West. The Chiefs come off their first loss, 20-3 in Seattle on Sunday. Those tied for the fewest points scored by the team in any Patrick Mahomes start, including playoffs. And it was the first time failing to reach the red zone under him. The Broncos had little trouble in Arizona, 30-16. QB Bo Nix became the first player in franchise history to throw for at least 200 yards and rush for 70. Kansas City trounced visiting Denver, 31-10 in Week 1.
Point spread: Chiefs -1.5
Pick ATS: Denver
Patriots at Dolphins: Is Miami’s Offence Finally Waking Up?
The Dolphins got their first win Sunday with a minor upset at the Jets, 28-25. Miami is now averaging 26.0 points in the past two games after just 11.5 in the first four. Ollie Gordon had another big game on the ground. New England lost 30-24 in Chicago on Thursday in Week 7 to see an eight-game winning streak in October games snapped. Drake Maye threw his third red-zone pick of the season.
Spread
Point spread: Patriots -7.5
Pick ATS: Miami
Eagles at Commanders: Washington Gets a Wounded Philadelphia Team
Sunday night game. Short week for Philly as it lost 38-21 at home to Dallas on Monday night while playing without its top two wideouts in the injured DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks for backup QB Tanner McKee. Star tailback Saquon Barkley returned from a hamstring injury but then left with a back injury. There was some talk Washington might fire embattled coach Dan Quinn during the Week 7 bye but nope. The Commanders are last in the NFC East and have blown a few games late.
Spread
Point spread: Commanders -4.5
Pick ATS: Washington
Bears at Seahawks: A Potential NFC Playoff Preview on Monday Night
Both were division winners in 2025 and almost met in the NFC Championship Game. The Bears are on extra rest after a 30-24 home win over the Patriots on Thursday in Week 7. Caleb Williams had his fifth career game with at least 300 passing yards, two TDs and no picks to extend his team record. Seattle was so impressive defensively Sunday in a 20-3 win over Kansas City. Jaxon Smith-Njigba had 150 yards a receiving TD and is on pace for a league-record 2,105 receiving yards.
Point spread: Seahawks -3
Pick ATS: Seattle alt -2.5
