Edmonton Oilers vs. Nashville Predators Prediction, NHL Odds

Edmonton defeated Chicago 4-1 last night which put the Oilers now one point behind the Pacific Division lead. Nashville’s recent run has got them two points outside of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Tuesday’s the last of four straight at home for the Preds, who have gone 2-1 on this stand. They last played on Sunday, beating Washington 3-2.

Tuesday’s the second of three regular season meetings between these clubs. They met last Tuesday and it was all Oilers in a 6-2 win that saw Connor McDavid notch a hat-trick and Leon Draisaitl put up a goal and two assists.

Puck drop at Bridgestone Arena goes at 8 p.m. EST with the Oilers a -120 moneyline favourite and the over-under at six on the NHL odds.

Oilers vs. Predators NHL Betting Odds

The Oilers come into Tuesday with a five-game win streak against the Predators and wins in six of their last seven trips to Nashville. This includes that 6-2 beatdown last week with McDavid and Draisaitl leading the way. Both have huge career numbers against Nashville; Draisaitl’s got 28 goals and 51 points in 30 career games against Nashville and McDavid 46 points in 25 games.

The over has hit in five of Edmonton’s last six outings as they continue to climb up the scoring rankings, now ranking fourth in the NHL with 3.39 goals per game. The Preds rank 26th in goals allowed this season (3.29 per game) but have been shoring up things as of late, allowing six goals in their last three home games. The under is 5-1 in Nashville’s last six games at home.

Edmonton Oilers

Connor McDavid’s career-best point streak is now at 19 games after recording an assist on the first two goals of last night’s 4-1 win at Chicago. McDavid has 19 goals and 25 assists over the 19 games. He’s also the first player in the NHL to get to 50 assists this season and now trails Nathan MacKinnon by one point for the league lead. McDavid’s current scoring pace has him on a trajectory for 142 points, which is nine shy of his career high set back in 2022–23. Defenceman Evan Bouchard scored twice yesterday and is now on a five-game point streak. Bouchard’s now third among NHL defenceman with 46 points and is up to 10 goals this season.

Connor Ingram got the start in net last night which means it should be Calvin Pickard between the pipes in Nashville. Pickard has struggled a bunch this season, posting a 5-6-2 record and .871 save percentage in 16 appearances so it’s likely the Oilers offence that’s going to carry this team if they’re to come out with a win on Tuesday.

Nashville Predators

Steven Stamkos is now over 600 career goals after opening Nashville’s scoring in a 3-2 win on Sunday, and is officially on the board in 2026 after putting in 12 goals last month. Stamkos’ 19 goals leads the team and is a big reason why this Nashville team still has a post-season chance. A healthy Roman Josi is helping too. The Preds captain was involved in all three goals on Sunday, finishing with a goal and two assists. Ryan O’Reilly picked up an assist on Josi’s goal and now has 25 assists on the season to go with his team-leading 38 points.

Justus Annunen picked up the win in net on Sunday and is quietly playing really well as of late. Annunen has a .933 save percentage over his past five games and has won in three straight starts. What’s interesting here is starting goalie Juuse Saros is 3-8-1 in his career against Edmonton, and Annunen is 1-0 turning away 25 of 26 shots faced. Saros is still the projected starter for Nashville on Tuesday.
