Lions vs. RedBlacks Prediction: CFL Week 14 Point Spread, Odds
BC and Ottawa will both be rested heading into Week 14 following bye’s last week. The Lions are looking to bounce back from a disappointing 52-34 loss in Toronto, while the RedBlacks fell 30-20 at home against Edmonton.
BC is a 6.5-point favourite to win on the CFL odds, with the total pegged at 55.5.
CFL Odds and Betting

These teams split the season series last year, with the home side coming out on top in each game. Last year’s loss snapped an eight-game win streak in head-to-head action for the Lions.
BC has struggled to gain traction in 2025, sitting at 5-6 with a 3-3 road record. They should be an attractive option for bettors, however, as they are 9-2 against the spread in their last 11 games against Ottawa.
The RedBlacks sport the worst record in the CFL at 3-8, with just one win in five home dates. A loss this week almost guarantees this team will miss the playoffs for the fifth time in the last six seasons.
These teams come into this week on opposite totals trajectories. While the Lions have hit the Over in five straight games, the total has gone Under in four of the RedBlacks’ last six games.
With each team posting losing records to this date, it’s no surprise to see each of them with long Grey Cup odds. Ottawa has the second-longest odds to win the Grey Cup at +5000 on the CFL futures board, just ahead of BC at +1400.
BC Lions
BC may sit a game below .500, but it’s no fault of the offence. It all starts with quarterback Nathan Rourke, who has passed for multiple touchdowns and over 300 yards in three straight games. Rourke’s best target has been Keon Hatcher, who leads the CFL with 1,009 receiving yards. James Butler completes the trio, posting league-bests in both rushing yards (868) and rushing TDs (eight).
The problem is a Lions defence that has been a sinking ship over the last five games. BC is allowing a league-high 35.6 points in that stretch and they’re coming off a performance that saw them give up 52 points to a less-than-stellar Argonauts team.
Ottawa RedBlacks
Ottawa will once again be without Dru Brown in this game as he’ll sit out a second straight week with a knee injury. That thrusts Dustin Crum into the starter’s role under centre. The 26-year-old is 1-2 in three starts this season. In 11 total appearances this season, Crum has posted middling numbers, completing 66.4 per cent of his passes for 902 yards, three TDs and two interceptions. He’s added 258 yards and seven TDs on the ground.
Slow starts have been an Achilles heel for the RedBlacks. Somehow, Ottawa has managed just one point in the first quarter of their last five games. Winning the first quarter more consistently could completely change the season for this team when you consider five of their eight losses have been decided by less than a touchdown.
