Ravens vs. Cowboys Point Spread: NFL Week 3 Odds, Prediction
The Ravens’ rough start continued with last weekend’s stunning 26-23 defeat at the hands of the visiting Las Vegas Raiders and have lost four of five overall contests since New Year’s Day. The Cowboys are also looking to hit the reset button after suffering a devastating 44-19 home loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 2 that put the brakes on an epic 16-game win streak on home turf in regular season action.
The Ravens arrive in Big D perched as slim 1.5-point favourites on the NFL Week 3 odds. The Cowboys trail as +105 moneyline underdogs, and the total is listed at 48.5.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
The Ravens will be making just their fourth visit to Dallas since the franchise relocated to Baltimore three decades ago and their first visit since 2016. The Ravens largely dominated in head-to-head action, winning five of six all-time meetings, capped by a decisive 34-17 victory when the Cowboys came to town back in 2020. Baltimore has also taken two of three from the Cowboys on the road but were outpaced in a 27-17 defeat in their most recent clash at AT&T Stadium and have covered just once in three meetings since 2008.
Recent clashes between these teams have typically been high scoring, with the total topping 50 three times during a 4-1 run for the OVER in totals betting. Both these teams have been reliable performers in inter-conference games, with the Ravens currently enjoying a nine-game win streak and the Cowboys an 8-3 straight up run including five straight wins at home.
Baltimore Ravens
Fewer observers predicted the Ravens to be entering third week of the campaign still searching for their first win, but this team has had their chances. The Ravens saw a controversial video review overturn what would have been a game-tying score in the final play of a 27-20 season-opening loss to the Chiefs and then proceeded to blow a 10-point fourth-quarter lead in a shocking loss to the Raiders as lofty 8.5-point chalk in last week’s home opener.
Lamar Jackson has been steady, if not spectacular, tossing a scoring pass in each of the first two weeks and has now found the end zone in nine straight contests and is pegged as a +110 bet on the NFL Week 3 player props to connect for multiple touchdowns for the first time since last season’s 34-10 win in AFC Divisional Playoff action. For Derrick Henry, Sunday’s contest mark just the second time he has ever faced the Cowboys. Henry has bolstered the Ravens’ ground game in his Baltimore debut, scampering for 130 total rushing yards and two scores.
Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys were embarrassed by the Saints last week while suffering their fourth defeat by at least 20 points since January 2023. Dallas allowed the Saints to pick up points on each of their first six drives and have now been lit up for 92 total points in consecutive home defeats that include a 48-32 loss to Green Bay in January on NFC Wild Card Weekend.
After being a late arrival at camp, receiver CeeDee Lamb has steadily rounded into form, compiling 90 yards and one scoring catch last week. However, Ezekiel Elliott has yet to bust out in his return to the Cowboys, putting up just 56 rushing yards through Week 2.
