UFC 300 Odds, Prediction: Alex Pereira vs. Jamahal Hill
Pereira opened as a -150 favourite to win on the MMA odds, while Hill is a +125 underdog.
Alex Pereira UFC 300 Odds
Pereira is 9-2 since his professional MMA debut in 2015. The 36-year-old Brazilian began his career as a champion kickboxer, holding the Glory middleweight and light heavyweight belts simultaneously. He’s quickly made a name for himself since his UFC debut three years ago, going 6-1 in that time while winning both the middleweight and light heavyweight championships.
“Poatan” made the most of his first UFC title shot at UFC 281, knocking out Israel Adesanya in the fifth round to win the middleweight championship. Pereira lost the belt in the rematch at UFC 287, however. He earned a split decision win over Jan Blachowicz in his light heavyweight debut last July before winning the vacant light heavyweight belt with a brutal second-round knockout win against Jiri Prochazka at UFC 295 in November.
Pereira is one of the best kickboxers to ever step foot in the Octagon. He uses his large 6-foot-4 frame to deliver devastating knockout-power in his strikes and his timing and explosiveness can overwhelm opponents. Look for Pereira to once again rely on his low leg kicks to build increasingly brutal combinations. Pereira is a smart fighter, so every move he makes is tactical and planned.

Jamahal Hill UFC 300 Odds
The 32-year-old Hill is 12-1 with one no contest since turning pro in 2017. He made his UFC debut in 2020, winning his first three fights, although one of those victories was overturned and deemed a no contest after he tested positive for marijuana. Hill’s only loss came against Paul Craig in 2021 when Hill dislocated his elbow in the first round. Overall, Hill is 6-1 in the UFC with one no contest.
“Sweet Dreams” won the vacant light heavyweight championship by unanimous decision against Glover Teixeira at UFC 283 in January 2023, extending his win streak to four fights. The victory made Hill the first Dana White’s Contender Series alum to win a UFC championship and it also earned him a Fight of the Night Award. Bad luck followed, however, as he was forced to vacate the light heavyweight belt after he suffered a ruptured Achilles.
Hill matches Pereira in both height (6-foot-4) and reach (79 inches). Also like Pereira, Hill has precise timing and devastating power, while his left hook boasts fight-ending impact. He likes to set up attacks that utilize his strong left leg to devastate opponents with high kicks and body shots. Hill will likely try to mix in some knees and elbows to wear Pereira down and expose his vulnerability in a firefight. There should be some serious damage dolled out in this fight.
UFC 300 Prediction: Pereira vs. Hill
On a stacked card, this fight is the main event for a reason. Pereira and Hill will brutally punish each other as they’re each tough fighters capable of delivering bombs. Normally, I would consider this fight a coin toss, so I have to give the edge to Pereira because of Hill’s long layoff. Pereira wins by KO/TKO or DQ (+100).
