LIV Adelaide Golf Picks, Predictions,Tee Times and Groups

Australia’s own Cameron Smith has emerged as the favourite to claim his third career LIV victory, sporting +1000 odds. However, in the wake of his disappointing finishes at both the Masters and LIV Orlando earlier this month, sports bettors may want to consider looking further down the LIV odds board for greater value ahead of the shotgun start of first round action on Thursday night at 10:15pm ET at The Grange Golf Club in Adelaide.

Here’s a look at some of the best bets to consider this weekend at LIV Adelaide.

Reed Renaissance

LIV Golf Adelaide

  • Patrick Reed +1600

Patrick Reed has shown steady improvement since kicking off his LIV Golf campaign with a 38th-place finish at Mayakoba. The 32-year-old Texan enjoyed a breakthrough at LIV Orlando, with his third-place performance lifting the 4 Aces to the top of the LIV team standings, and followed up with a fourth-place performance at the Masters.

Pegged as an intriguing +1600 bet to claim his first career LIV tournament win, Reed also offers lots of value in the LIV Adelaide props. Indeed, Reed has outplayed high-profile teammate Dustin Johnson in each of his past two outings. While DJ turned in his best performance of the season with a seventh-place finish at LIV Orlando, he wilted in the rain in Augusta on this way to a share of 48th place.

With Johnson running hot and cold, Reed sports lots of value as a -105 bet to outpace Johnson in Adelaide, and should not be overlooked as a +350 wager to once again crack the top five.

Na Best Bet Among All-Injury Threesome

LIV Golf Adelaide

First Round Three Ball - Na / Kaymer / Oosthuizen
  • Louis Oosthuizen +145
  • Kevin Na +170
  • Martin Kaymer +220

Kevin Na was forced to withdraw from the Masters midway through a brutal opening round, reportedly due to illness. Na now returns to the LIV stage paired with two rivals also coming off injury.

Louis Oosthuizen was also forced to retire early at Augusta due to injury, which is largely believed to be related to the elbow problems he has endured in recent years. Rounding out the group is two-time major tournament winner Martin Kaymer, who is getting set to make his first appearance of the season after being sidelined by injury for the past six months.

While Oosthuizen leads the way as a +145 bet to lead the trio in first round three ball, the lack of details relating to his withdraw from the Masters remains a concern. And with expectations tempered as to how Kaymer will perform in his first tournament outing since being forced to withdraw from LIV Jeddah last October, the strongest value can be found in backing Na as a +170 wager to lead the trio in the first round.

Can Phil Make LIV Breakthrough?

LIV Golf Adelaide

  • Phil Mickelson +5500

The whipping boy for PGA Tour-centric media in his return to Augusta after a one-year absence, Phil Mickelson got the last laugh with his spectacular final round march to a second-place finish at this year’s Masters. However, Lefty arrives in Adelaide still searching for a highly anticipated breakthrough on the fledgling LIV Tour.

Mickelson failed to crack the top 25 in three LIV appearances last year, and has finished in the top ten just once in seven outings this season. However, in the wake of his impressive and cathartic performance at Augusta, golf betting fans should expect a much more relaxed Lefty to hit the course this weekend.

Indeed, with the naysayers silenced, Lefty could be poised for a big weekend and should not be overlooked as a +750 bet to finish among the top five. And with teammates Brendan Steele and Cameron Tringale recording a combined five top 20 finishes so far this season, the HyFlyers are worthy of a flyer wager as a lengthy +2200 wager to emerge as the top team this weekend.
