They need a win to clinch home ice in the first round of the playoffs. Also, a win combined with a Nashville Predators loss in any fashion would give the Jets their first division title since relocation. Blake Wheeler leads the Jets in scoring on the road this season with 39 points in 40 games.

Arizona Coyotes

Despite a 4-1 win over the Golden Knights Thursday night the Coyotes received some bad news during the game as they were officially eliminated from the playoffs (because of the Avalanche recording a win).

It marks the seventh consecutive and 13^th time in the last 16 seasons that the Coyotes have missed the post season.

The Coyotes have lost 377 total man games to injury this year but battled right to the end. Since January 6^th they are 22-13-5, at that pace over the course of an entire season, it would make this team a 100+ point franchise.

Entering this game with the Jets, the Yotes are stumbling to the finish line with a 3-4-3 record in their last 10 games. With a win this team will hit the 40-win plateau, a feat this organization has accomplished just three times since moving to Arizona in 1996.

Although Head Coach Rick Tocchet hasn’t indicated any lineup changes, it is more likely the club doesn’t which it up too much for the final game of the season.
