NHL Odds Video: Should Thatcher Demko be the Vezina Trophy Favourite?
It seems to be a wide-open race for the Vezina Trophy two months into the NHL season. Every team has played about 20 games and as it stands now, Vancouver Canucks netminder, Thatcher Demko, sits as a +450 favourite to win the trophy awarded to the NHL’s best goaltender. Demko has been the cornerstone of the Canucks’ brilliant season to date with a save percentage of .924 and a goals-against average of 2.26.

Vezina Trophy Odds: Ottinger, Shesterkin, Hill or Talbot?
Next up is Igor Shesterkin of the New York Rangers. He’s paying +600 on the NHL Vezina Trophy odds to win and while his numbers don’t stack up to Demko’s, his reputation precedes him as a former Vezina winner to go along with the fact that his Rangers sit atop the Metropolitan Division.
The Dallas Stars should thank Jake Oettinger as the main reason this team is doing as well as it is. Oettinger paying +700 to win the Vezina Trophy.
Two other interesting names on the odds board are Adin Hill and Logan Thompson of the Vegas Golden Knights. The Knights’ goalie duo splits playing time relatively evenly, which ends up hurting their value here. However, if one grabs a firm hold of the crease, take note. Hill checks in at +800, while Thompson is at +5000 longshot.
Don’t forget about Cam Talbot from the Los Angeles Kings, either. He’s at +1100 and has backstopped a terrific start to the season from L.A.
