Elks vs. Tiger-Cats CFL Week 19 Betting Odds, Picks: Edmonton opens as 5.5-point road favourite
Just three weeks now remaining in the 2026 CFL regular season, and Week 19 kicks off with a Friday doubleheader. The opener is a crossover matchup as the Edmonton Elks visit Hamilton as the teams play a second time in the past three weeks. The Tiger-Cats are 5.5-point underdogs on the CFL odds with a total of 61.5 points.
CFL Odds and Betting
Edmonton (11-4) has clinched a playoff spot and should win the West Division, holding a two-game lead over second-place B.C. The Elks are +270 second-favourites behind East-leading Montreal to win the Grey Cup. The Elks are a game behind the Alouettes for the CFL’s best overall record.
Hamilton (5-11) is sitting third in the East Division and will finish there regardless. The Tiger-Cats are only playing for pride/spoilers at this point eliminated from playoff contention.
This concludes the season series with the Elks eyeing the sweep after being swept last year in a pair of close games. On Sept. 26 at Commonwealth Stadium, Edmonton was a 9.5-point favourite (total was 56.5) and escaped the Ticats 37-35 in three overtimes. The Elks haven’t swept the regular-season series since 2017. They are 4-0 ATS in their past four trips to Hamilton, and the over is 6-2-1 in the past nine meetings overall.
Edmonton Elks
It will be the second game in a row for the Elks against the Ticats as Edmonton was off last week and was a 9.5-point home favourite in Week 17 when it escaped against Hamilton, 37-35 in three overtimes.
The teams traded field goals on the first two possessions of overtime before Joshua Cephus caught a pass in the end zone from Cody Fajardo to win in only the second game in CFL history to require a two-point shootout.
Elks kicker Vincent Blanchard set the league’s single-game record for field goals made with nine. He didn’t miss a kick and nailed the game-tying field goal with just one second remaining in regulation.
Fajardo completed 32 of 47 passes for 298 yards with no touchdowns and one interception while rushing for a score. Defensive back Tyrell Ford had two interceptions and leads the CFL with seven.
The Elks have eight wins in 2026 in games decided in the final three minutes, including two overtime victories.
The over is 4-1 in Edmonton’s past five road games.
Hamilton Tiger-Cats
While the Tiger-Cats won’t make the playoffs, at least they weren’t the first team to lose to the winless Redblacks this season. Hamilton was a 1.5-point underdog at Ottawa last Friday but rolled to a 34-16 victory to snap a five-game losing streak (1-4 ATS). The Redblacks were held without a point and only four first downs in the second half after leading 16-13 at intermission.
Ticats QB Harrison Frost threw for 342 yards with two touchdowns, both going to star receiver Kenny Lawler. He finished with six catches for 132 yards. Tailback Larry Rountree also had a big game in rushing 19 times for 128 yards and catching four passes for 30 yards.
Frost led the Ticats on three consecutive touchdown drives in the second half. Wideout Keric Wheatfall missed it injured. He has 50 catches for 769 yards and two scores and is iffy this week.
The over is 4-1 in Hamilton’s past five as a home dog.
