In their first meeting of the year, J.T. Miller’s two-goal performance powered the Canucks to a 6-3 win over the Stars in Vancouver. Bo Horvat and Elias Petterson each had a three-point game, while at the other end Nick Robertson and Ryan Suter had two points apiece for Dallas. These squads will meet again in Vancouver for the last time on April 18.
Halfway through a four-game road trip, the Canucks have covered in both games so far, improving their 38-28 record ATS. Four of their past five contests have played the Under and they are 31-33 to the Under on the year.

Vancouver Canucks
The Canucks have dropped four of their past outings after losing 3-2 in overtime to the Minnesota Wild Thursday night. Horvat opened the scoring and Miller tied it with a power-play goal in the third, extending each of their goal streaks to three games. Miller leads the team with 27 snipes and Horvat is not far behind with 25.
Thatcher Demko stopped 33 shots in the losing effort. He has had no luck in his past seven starts, with just one victory. They wrap up their four-game road trip Monday night in St. Louis.
Dallas Stars
Scott Wedgewood stood on his head in Thursday’s debut with the Stars against Carolina. He stopped 44 shots in regulation and then was perfect in the shootout to take home the first star of the game honours. The 4-3 shootout win over the Hurricanes extended Dallas’ win streak to three games.
The Stars’ first line connected for two goals in the third period as Roope Hintz scored his 27th and 28th goals of the season both assisted by Nick Robertson and Joe Pavelski. Pavelski leads the team with 66 points, with Robertson (60) and Hintz (55) right behind him. Dallas will hit the road for a back-to-back in Anaheim starting on Tuesday night.
