NFL Point Spreads Week 15: Best Picks Against the Spread
Here’s a quick look at all the Week 15 matchups with Sports Interaction NFL odds. Games Sunday unless noted.
Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs, Thursday
The last Thursday night game of 2018 is also the most important. If Kansas City wins out, it will be the AFC’s top seed. Should the Chargers win this game, they are in position to steal the AFC West from the Chiefs and potentially the conference’s top seed. Kansas City opened the season with a 38-28 win at the Chargers behind four TD passes from Patrick Mahomes and three total TDs from receiver/returner Tyreek Hill. Point spread: Kansas City -3.5
Pick ATS: Chiefs
Houston Texans at New York Jets, Saturday
With the NCAA regular season finished, the NFL takes up the slack – although the bowls also start Saturday. It’s the first meeting between these teams since 2015. Houston is playing for a top-two seed in the AFC and to clinch the AFC South, while the Jets are concluding another lousy season. For a more detailed preview of this game, click here.
Picks ATS: Texans
Cleveland Browns at Denver Broncos, Saturday
Cleveland won three times in former coach Hue Jackson’s 40 games. The Browns are now 3-2 since firing Jackson and under interim head coach Gregg Williams following a 26-20 win over Carolina on Sunday. Baker Mayfield threw a TD pass for a 10th straight game. Denver’s playoff hopes took a huge hit with a 20-14 upset loss in San Francisco. Here’s our complete preview and prediction for this game.
Picks ATS: Browns

Arizona Cardinals at Atlanta Falcons
These birds are playing out the string. Arizona was a 17-3 loser Sunday at home vs. Detroit. The Cardinals’ pathetic offence managed 279 yards and was outscored by the Detroit defence. The Falcons have completely mailed it in in losing a fifth straight Sunday, 34-20 in Green Bay. Atlanta is guaranteed a losing record for the first time since 2014.
Pick ATS: Cardinals
Detroit Lions at Buffalo Bills
Another game with no playoff ramifications. Detroit had only 218 yards Sunday but got a defensive touchdown in a 17-3 win at Arizona. The Lions lost a handful of guys to injury in the game, led by defensive end Ezekiel Ansah. Buffalo lost 27-23 at home to the Jets. Rookie QB Josh Allen can’t throw very well but the guy can run as he had 101 yards and a TD on nine carries. Click here for a full preview of the Lions vs. Bills game.
Pick ATS: Bills
Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears
It’s the NFL’s oldest rivalry, and the disappointing Packers can only play spoiler in terms of the Bears winning the NFC North title. These teams had a very entertaining Week 1 game, with Aaron Rodgers leaving with a knee injury only to return and lead a comeback from down 20-0 late in the third quarter to a shocking 24-23 victory. Here’s our full preview and prediction for the Packers vs. Bears game.
Pick ATS: Bears

Oakland Raiders at Cincinnati Bengals
Nothing to see here! Raiders playing for the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, although they hurt their chances for that with Sunday’s upset win over the Steelers, while it’s the home finale for the imploding Bengals. It also should be the last home game for embattled Coach Marvin Lewis. Sports Interaction’s complete preview and prediction for this game is here.
Pick ATS: Bengals
Dallas Cowboys at Indianapolis Colts
Dallas is on the verge of clinching the NFC East following Sunday’s 29-23 OT win over the Eagles, the Cowboys’ fifth straight victory. Dak Prescott threw for three scores and a career-high 455 yards. Amari Cooper has been a godsend since coming over in trade from Oakland and had 10 catches for 217 yards and three scores. The Colts kept their wild-card hopes alive with a 24-21 win in Houston. Andrew Luck threw for 399 yards and two scores. A full preview of the Cowboys vs. Colts game is available here.
Pick ATS: Colts
Miami Dolphins at Minnesota Vikings
Short week for Minnesota off a huge game in Seattle on Monday night. The Dolphins had perhaps the most unlikely win in franchise history Sunday as they stunned the Patriots on a 69-yard multiple-lateral touchdown as time expired. Kenyan Drake ran the last 52 yards.
Pick ATS: Dolphins

Tennessee Titans at New York Giants
If you played Derrick Henry in your fantasy football playoffs this past week, you surely were a winner as Henry had a game for the ages in Thursday’s win over Jacksonville. He rushed for 238 yards and four scores – including an incredible NFL record-tying 99-yarder. The Giants look nothing like the team that started 1-7 as they won for the fourth time in five games Sunday, 40-16 over Washington. Rookie Saquon Barkley rushed for 170 yards, including a 78-yard TD.
Pick ATS: Giants
Washington Redskins at Jacksonville Jaguars
About the only positive thing to say about Washington’s fourth straight loss Sunday, 40-16 at home to the Giants, was at least none of the team’s quarterbacks broke their leg. Third-stringer Mark Sanchez was awful in the loss and was pulled for journeyman Josh Johnson, who hadn’t thrown a regular-season pass since 2011. The Jaguars looked disinterested last Thursday night as they were trampled by the Titans and Derrick Henry.
Pick ATS: Jaguars
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Baltimore Ravens
Tampa’s two-game winning streak was snapped in a 28-14 home loss to New Orleans. The Bucs were outscored 25-0 in the second half, when they had just 81 yards. Baltimore probably deserved to win in Kansas City on Sunday but lost 27-24 in overtime. The Ravens are still right on the heels of Pittsburgh in the AFC North.
Pick ATS: Bucs

Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers
Short week for Seattle as it hosted Minnesota on Monday in a game with major playoff ramifications. The Seahawks just trashed the 49ers 43-16 in Week 13. Russell Wilson had only 11 completions but four were for touchdowns. Seattle also rushed for 168 yards. Nick Mullens threw for 414 mostly empty yards in the loss.
Pick ATS: Seahawks
New England Patriots at Pittsburgh Steelers
Both clubs were shocked in Week 14. It’s the biggest game this Sunday, and it’s often the AFC game of the year when these two powerhouses play. This could well decide which team hosts the other in a playoff matchup. It’s the second straight year New England goes to Pittsburgh in Week 15. The Patriots escaped 27-24 when a TD in the final seconds for the Steelers was overturned on review. Then Ben Roethlisberger threw an interception in the end zone to end it. Fabulous game. There’s no opening line because Big Ben suffered a rib injury in Sunday’s loss in Oakland, but there’s no chance he’s not playing and did return vs. the Raiders.
Pick ATS: Steelers
Philadelphia Eagles at Los Angeles Rams
Fifty-three weeks ago, the Eagles visited the Rams and made a statement with a 43-35 victory … but also lost superstar quarterback Carson Wentz to a season-ending torn ACL. Philly would win the Super Bowl behind backup Nick Foles. The Rams are playing for the NFC’s top seed this year, while the Eagles are fighting just to make the playoffs, which isn’t looking likely. Click here for our complete preview of the Eagles vs. Rams game.
Point spread: Los Angeles -8.5
Pick ATS: Eagles
New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers, Monday
The Saints have wrapped up their second NFC South title in a row but still can finish with the NFC’s No. 1 seed. Carolina’s postseason hopes are still up in the air on a five-game losing streak. These teams turn around and play again in 13 days. New Orleans was 3-0 last season vs. Carolina, with the final meeting a 31-26 home victory in the wild-card round.
Point spread: New Orleans -6.5
Pick ATS: Panthers
