Raiders vs. Chiefs Point Spread: NFL Week 7 Odds, Prediction

Week 7 of the 2025 NFL campaign includes a showdown in the AFC West between the Las Vegas Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday afternoon.

Are the Chiefs back? That still remains to be seen, but they showed encouraging signs with a 30-17 victory over the Detroit Lions this past Sunday night. That improved Kansas City’s record to 3-3 – not terrible given that it was once 0-2.

The Raiders are 2-4 after beating the Tennessee Titans 20-10 in Week 6.

Unsurprisingly, the Chiefs have completely dominated this division-rivalry matchup for more than a decade. They are 18-3 straight up against the Raiders dating back to 2014.

Kansas City is a heavy 12-point favourite to win on the NFL odds, with the total set at 45.5.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Kansas City is 3-1 against the spread in its last four contests. Las Vegas, on the other hand, is a horrendous 1-4 ATS in its last five. Shockingly, however, the Raiders are 3-0 ATS in the last three head-to-head battles. The under is 9-6 in the Chiefs’ last 15 games dating back to last season, 9-3 in the Raiders’ last 12.

In addition to the more traditional lines, the first-quarter spread is -2.5 in Kansas City’s favour and the first-half spread is -6.5. On the prop-betting front, Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is +140 to score a touchdown on Sunday. Ashton Jeanty is the most likely Raiders player to find the end zone, coming in with +115 odds.

Las Vegas Raiders

If Las Vegas wants to be competitive this weekend, the key will be to run the football. After all, the best defence against Kansas City is often simply to keep the clock moving and relegate Patrick Mahomes and company to the sideline for as long as possible. The Raiders are No. 23 in the NFL in rushing, but they may be able to find success against a Chiefs defence that is allowing the seventh-most yards per carry (4.7). Raiders rookie RB Ashton Jeanty, the No. 6 overall pick, has heated up with 280 rushing yards and two touchdowns over the past three outings.

Defensive end Maxx Crosby has recorded four sacks in 2025 after taking down Titans QB Cam Ward twice last week. Getting pressure on Mahomes will be crucial for Las Vegas’ hopes on Sunday.

Kansas City Chiefs

Rice is back from a six-game suspension, which he incurred due to a violation of the NFL’s personal conduct policy. As such, Sunday marks the first time that Rice, Xavier Worthy and Hollywood Brown will all play in a regular-season game for the Chiefs (Brown missed almost all of last year due to a shoulder injury and Rice suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 4). Kansas City’s offence figures to be particularly dangerous now that Patrick Mahomes has a full stable of pass-catchers at his disposal.

One cause for concern on offence is that tackle Josh Simmons was a late scratch against Detroit due to a “family situation.” He is listed as questionable for Sunday.

NFL Prediction: Who Will Win Raiders vs. Chiefs?

As we have seen time and time again already this season, huge point spreads are dangerous in a league with lots of parity. Even for the best teams, it is not easy to cover 12 points – which is the current number for Sunday’s contest. Kansas City should win, especially now that Rice is back on the field, but Las Vegas is not a terrible team and has played three straight one-possession games in this head-to-head rivalry. Let’s go with the Chiefs to win 27-17.
