Dallas Mavericks vs. Phoenix Suns Game 5 Prediction, NBA Playoff Odds
Dallas finished off a perfect home stand on Sunday afternoon via a 111-101 victory, containing Phoenix’s lethal offence to a combined 195 points in games three and four. It’s night and day considering Phoenix scored 250 points in their game one and two victories and are still averaging 111 points this post-season.
Game 5 goes at the Footprint Center, with the home Suns a 5.5-point favourite and the over-under at 213 on the NBA odds.

Prior to the series moving over to Texas, the Suns had beaten Dallas 11 straight times. That streak is now in the past, and Dallas is now 4-1 on home court these playoffs. Problem is, they’re 2-3 in away games and the Suns are also 4-1 on home court as they regain the advantage.
Once again, Dallas covered and the total went under in Game 4. Each team is now 2-2 ATS this series and the over and under have each hit twice. The over is 7-2 in Dallas’ last nine road games, and the Mavs have dropped seven straight games played in Phoenix.

Arguably the biggest key for Dallas’ victories in this series has been balance. Neither win featured 30-plus-point nights from Luka Doncic while also leading the way in the other statistical categories. Doncic still compiled 26 points in each of Dallas’ wins, but the Mavs got massive contributions outside of Doncic.
In Game 3, guard Jalen Brunson led all scorers with 28 points and followed that up Sunday with another 18. Forward Dorian Finney-Smith was the unsung hero Sunday, scoring 24 points on a remarkable eight for 12 afternoon from the three-point line. As a team the Mavericks made 20 three-pointers on 44 attempts. Forward Davis Bertans was also hot from the arc, knocking down four threes on six attempts off the bench.
Phoenix Suns
The absence of point guard Chris Paul undoubtedly hurt the Suns in Game 4. Paul started and did not suffer any injury, but only played 23 minutes before fouling out midway through the final quarter. Paul finished with five points, five rebounds, and seven assists but as mentioned wasn’t on the floor down the stretch — a quarter where Phoenix scored 23 points as a team.
Guard Devin Booker tried his best to best his club on his back with a game-high 35 Sunday. Booker’s now got two 30-point outings this series and is leading Phoenix with 25 points per night this post-season. Deandre Ayton also posted a double-double in the loss, scoring 14 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
