The Toronto Argonauts look to win a third straight game Thursday night as they visit Calgary in the first matchup of Week 5 around the CFL and in the 2026 Stampede Bowl.

The Stampeders are 2.5-point favourites with a total of 59.5 on the CFL odds that is the highest of the week.

CFL Odds and Betting

Calgary eyes its first home win of the season, while Toronto hasn’t played a true home game at BMO Field yet because of the World Cup and won’t until Week 10 when it hosts the Stampeders to close the regular-season series.

Last season, the Stamps won both by double digits. It was 44-13 at McMahon Stadium. A pick-six by Adrian Greene opened the scoring and led to an easy Calgary victory. Vernon Adams Jr. was incredibly efficient in completing 12 of 14 passes for 214 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Dedrick Mills rushed for 115 yards and had a TD. Tevin Jones, Dominique Rhymes and Jalen Philpot each caught a touchdown for the Stamps. That was the season finale for the injury-riddled Argos, who used three different quarterbacks in the loss. Toronto’s last win in the series was 39-25 at home in August 2024.

Calgary is 7-1 ATS in the past eight meetings overall. The over is 4-1 in the past five.

Toronto Argonauts

Projected the Argos to lose 31-26 at defending Grey Cup champion Saskatchewan last week as the de-facto home team, but Toronto pulled off a 40-34 upset as a 3.5-point underdog. A late first-half gamble by first-year head coach Mike Miller led to 17 straight Argos points after trailing 17-13.

Chad Kelly, who had thrown for at least 400 yards in the previous two games each, threw for 321 and two scores while rushing for another. No Toronto QB has ever had three straight 400-yard games.

Rookie Tyler Kahmann had five receptions for 89 yards and two scores, and the 25-year-old leads the league with four TD grabs. Kevin Mital was in question but played. He was held to 38 yards on two catches after opening the season with back-to-back 100-yard games.

Defensively, Adarius Pickett had a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and a tackle for loss. Toronto’s last win at McMahon Stadium came in 2021. The Argos are 4-2 ATS in their past six on the road overall.

Calgary Stampeders

After losing its first two games of the season at home close, Calgary went to Kelowna last Friday to face the BC Lions in that city’s first-ever CFL game. The Stamps won 41-33 as 1.5-point underdogs.

Vernon Adams Jr. had three touchdown passes, one in each of the first three quarters, to earn his 50th career CFL win as a starting QB. He connected with Dedrick Mills, Jalen Philpot and Tevin Jones for the scores. Adams still hasn’t thrown a pick in 2026.

Kick returner Tyreik McAllister had a 90-yard punt return for a touchdown a game after returning a missed field goal 120 yards for a score.

Defensively, the Stamps had four QB sacks. That unit saw the return from injury of Jaylon Hutchings and Folarin Orimolade. Each of them had a sack.

Top defensive back Adrian Greene was out with a knee injury and was placed on the six-game injured list. Damon Webb moved back to safety from the halfback position in his place. Calgary is 5-2 ATS in its past seven games.
