Broncos vs. Ravens Point Spread: NFL Week 13 Odds, Prediction
Denver’s now at the bottom of the AFC West at 3-8 on the season, while Baltimore has some company at the top of the AFC North at 7-4.
The Broncos arguably hit rock bottom last Sunday when they fell 23-10 at Carolina in a game they were frankly never in. Baltimore suffered yet another devastating loss off a blown lead last weekend, going down 28-27 at Jacksonville.
Kickoff at M&T Bank Stadium gets underway at 1 p.m. EST and Baltimore has opened as an eight-point favourite with the total down at 38.5 on the NFL odds.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
A sub-40 game total has a lot to do with Denver, who as mentioned are the league’s worst offence with 14.3 points per game but also wasting an elite defence that’s third in points allowed with 17.6. Combine these two units and it’s no surprise the under is 10-1 in Broncos games this season. Baltimore is also 7-4 to the under, and it’s 6-1 in their last seven home games.
The Ravens have yet to cover at home this season, going 0-4-1 ATS. But Denver’s covered in just one of their last seven visits to Baltimore, and in four of their last 14 games overall with Baltimore. Ravens country, let’s ride?
Denver Broncos
A season-low 142 passing yards from Russell Wilson last Sunday is the latest thing gone wrong on the offensive side of the ball for Denver. The Broncos managed to score three points in the first 56 minutes against Carolina in Week 12, and only generated 246 total yards while possessing the ball for under 23 minutes. Latavius Murray finished with 13 carries for 92 yards, but 52 came on a single rush meaning the other 12 rushes went for 40 yards.
Denver’s defence has performed slightly worse of late, but it’s still a top-three unit in both points and yards allowed. And they can only hold down the fort so long with an abysmal offence to work with.
Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens defence likely has a bitter taste in their mouth after giving up a game-winning touchdown drive and two-point convert last weekend at Jacksonville. Baltimore’s defence is also a unit that’s above-average when it comes to points and yards allowed, so they hold a strong advantage in this matchup with Denver.
On offence the Ravens activated running back J.K. Dobbins, who could return this weekend to Baltimore’s starting lineup. Dobbins has only suited up in four games this season, last playing in Week 6. Quarterback Lamar Jackson (quad) and offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley (ankle) were limited in Wednesday’s practice, well cornerback Marlon Humphrey (ankle) did not practice.
