However, the Oiles have struggled to generate offence at times during a second-half swoon that has produced seven wins in their past 17 games, tallying just 2.82 goals per game.

The Oilers have also lost four of six on home ice while allowing four goals per game.

The club has potted just 2.71 goals per game while losing four of seven overall and have surrendered at least four goals in each of their defeats while losing six of 10 on the road.

Despite those struggles, Utah remains ranked a respectable sixth in the Western Conference with 17 road wins so far this season.

While wins have come at a premium, Utah Hockey Club have still managed to pick up at least a point in 13 of their past 18 games. Karel Vejmelka, Tuesday’s expected starting goalie, has played a key role in maintain the team’s playoff hopes. The starter in each of Utah’s past 10 games, Vejmelka has compiled a 6-2-2 record over that stretch surrendering an average of just 2.10 goals per game. Vejmelka has enjoyed a big assist form a stingy Utah defence that has allowed just 20.3 shots per game over the past three games.

Up front, Nick Schmaltz has provided the spark, potting five goals and seven assists over his past 11 appearances, capped by a two-assist effort in Sunday’s win over the Canucks. Leading scorer Clayton Keller has remained a model of consistency while piling up 21 points in his past 16 games. Conversely, Dylan Guenther has struggled on the road, going pointless in three games since seeing a five-game points streak end.

Edmonton Oilers

The Oilers will look to rediscover their scoring touch after scoring just nine total goals and earning just one win in regulation during their recent four-game road trip. Leon Draisaitl has remained the key to the Oilers attack. After getting in on six of the club’s nine goals over the past four games, Draisaitl has now racked up 14 goals and 13 assists during an impressive 18-game points streak that started on January 27 and leads all skaters as a +110 bet on the Tuesday NHL player props to bulge the twine sometime on Tuesday night.

However, injuries remain a concern for the Oilers. Veteran rearguard Mattias Ekholm remains listed as day-to-day after missing last week’s road trip due to an undisclosed injury. The status of both Zach Hyman and John Klingberg also remains uncertain after the duo missed Sunday’s win in New York.
