It's a very good schedule around the NFL for Week 14 as every game includes at least one playoff contender other than Jets at Bills and Lions at Cardinals.
Here’s a quick look at all the Week 14 matchups with Sports Interaction’s NFL odds. Games Sunday unless noted.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans, Thursday
Let’s say hypothetically that Sports Interaction posted a total of 16 for the game between these AFC South rivals in Week 3 in Jacksonville. That would be the lowest in league history by far and of course bettors would wager the over. They would have lost. In the ugliest game of 2018, the Titans beat the Jaguars 9-6 with no TDs scored. We are confident this will feature more than 15 points. Maybe we shouldn’t be, though, since the Jaguars won 6-0 on Sunday vs. the Colts. Here’s our complete preview and prediction for this TNF game.
Pick ATS: Titans
New York Jets at Buffalo Bills
Nothing to see here other than potential state bragging rights, even though the Jets technically play in New Jersey. The Jets were routed at home by the Bills 41-10 in Week 10 – by far Buffalo’s most points in 2018 — and many thought New York coach Todd Bowles was going to get fired after that. He’s still here but won’t be as soon as the season ends.
Pick ATS: Jets
Carolina Panthers at Cleveland Browns
Matchup of former No. 1 picks and Heisman winners in Carolina’s Cam Newton and Cleveland’s Baker Mayfield. Both struggled in losses Sunday with Newton throwing four picks in Carolina’s fourth straight defeat and Mayfield tossing three interceptions in a blowout loss in Houston.
Pick ATS: Browns
Atlanta Falcons at Green Bay Packers
Two of the NFC’s most disappointing teams despite having former MVPs at quarterback in Matt Ryan and Aaron Rodgers. The Packers suffered one of the biggest home upsets in franchise history on Sunday vs. Arizona and promptly fired Coach Mike McCarthy afterward. Offensive coordinator Joe Philbin is the interim head coach. The Falcons haven’t topped 19 points once during a four-game losing streak.
Pick ATS: Packers
Baltimore Ravens at Kansas City Chiefs
The landscape of the AFC may have changed over the weekend when the Chiefs cut star running back Kareem Hunt after a disturbing video of him in a physical altercation with a woman from February emerged from TMZ. The Chiefs and NFL knew about the incident (no chargers were filed), but Hunt apparently lied to the team about it. No other team will touch him the rest of this season at least, and if he does ever latch on somewhere will be facing a long suspension. Kansas City did win in Oakland without him Sunday. Baltimore is 3-0 since rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson took over for an injured Joe Flacco.
Pick ATS: Chiefs
New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins
The Patriots could clinch another AFC East title with a victory as it would complete the season sweep. New England beat visiting Miami 38-7 in Week 4. Things were so different then with the Dolphins entering at 3-0 and the Patriots at 1-2. Tom Brady threw for 274 yards and three scores. Brady improved to 15-1 as a starter at home against Miami but is 7-9 in his career at the Dolphins.
Pick ATS: Dolphins
New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
How, again, did the Super Bowl-favoured Saints lose Week 1 at home to the lousy Bucs? Tampa Bay pulled off the 48-40 upset behind 417 yards passing and four scores, plus a rushing touchdown from Ryan Fitzpatrick. He’s on the bench now. The teams combined for just over 1,000 yards of offence. The Saints’ 10-game winning streak was snapped last Thursday, while Tampa has won back-to-back games.
Pick ATS: Bucs
New York Giants at Washington Redskins
Short week for Washington as it was in Philadelphia on Monday. New York won for the third time in four games Sunday 30-27 in overtime over Chicago. Saquon Barkley rushed for 125 yards. The Redskins beat the Giants 20-13 in Week 8. Adrian Peterson rushed for 149 yards and two scores, and Washington picked off Eli Manning twice.
Pick ATS: NY Giants
Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans
Houston was 0-3 when it visited Indianapolis in Week 4 and won 37-34 in overtime. Colts coach Frank Reich had a puzzling fourth-down call late in OT that was stopped and led to the winning field goal. The Texans haven’t lost since. They were 29-13 home winners over Cleveland on Sunday. The Colts had been playing as well as anyone on a five-game winning streak but that came to a crashing halt in a 6-0 loss in Jacksonville.
Pick ATS: Texans
Cincinnati Bengals at Los Angeles Chargers
The Bengals have pretty much quit and Coach Marvin Lewis will surely not be back next season. They barely put up a fight in losing 24-10 at home to Denver on Sunday and may have lost star receiver A.J. Green to a season-ending injury. The Chargers played without injured Pro Bowl running back Melvin Gordon on Sunday night and rallied for a shocking win in Pittsburgh.
Pick ATS: Bengals
Denver Broncos at San Francisco 49ers
The Broncos have inserted themselves into the wild-card discussion on a three-game winning streak. It was 24-10 in Cincinnati on Sunday. Undrafted rookie Phillip Lindsay ran for a career-high 157 yards and two touchdowns. Behooves the 49ers to lose out as they would get the No. 1 pick in the 2019 draft. They helped their cause in that regard with a 43-16 loss in Seattle on Sunday. Nick Mullens threw for 414 empty yards.
Pick ATS: Broncos
Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys
Short week for the Eagles as they hosted Washington on Monday. The winner here becomes the favourite to claim the NFC East title. The Cowboys, who upset the Saints last Thursday, go for the season sweep as they were 27-20 upset winners in Philadelphia in Week 10. Ezekiel Elliott rushed for 151 yards and a touchdown, which was the game winner with just over three minutes to go.
Pick ATS: Cowboys
Pittsburgh Steelers at Oakland Raiders
This game was the original Sunday night matchup but flexed out because the Raiders are terrible. Steelers-Raiders was one of the NFL’s great rivalries of the 1970s but this should be Pittsburgh’s last-ever trip to Oakland with the Raiders moving to Las Vegas for the 2020 season. The Steelers suffered a historic home collapse Sunday night in a loss to the Chargers.
Pick ATS: Raiders
Detroit Lions at Arizona Cardinals
Nothing to see here, Part II. Two teams playing out the string with Arizona still in the running for the first overall pick in next year’s draft, although that got a bit tougher to get with Sunday’s 20-17 upset win in Green Bay as two touchdown underdogs. The Lions played the Rams tough for three quarters but faded in the fourth in a 30-16 loss.
Pick ATS: Cardinals
Los Angeles Rams at Chicago Bears
The NFL/NBC smartly flexed this potential NFC playoff preview into the Sunday night window. The Rams have one of the league’s most electrifying offences, while the Bears have an argument as the league’s best defensive team. Chicago QB Mitchell Trubisky has missed the past two games due to injury but is likely to return. Click here for our full preview of the Bears vs. Rams game.
Pick ATS: Rams
Minnesota Vikings at Seattle Seahawks, Monday
Huge in the NFC wild-card chase with the winner holding a crucial tiebreaker. Seattle won its third in a row Sunday by blasting the 49ers. Russell Wilson completed only 11 passes but four were for touchdowns. Minnesota lost 24-10 in New England as its usually excellent run defence faltered.
Pick ATS: Seahawks
