The Mavericks return home riding a three-game SU win streak after outlasting Memphis in a 120-113 victory on Monday night, but have lost 12 of 16 when playing in the back half of games on consecutive nights.
The Lakers arrive in Dallas perched as slim 1.5-point road favourites on the Tuesday NBA odds. The Mavericks are a +110 moneyline bet to extend their current surge, and the total is listed at 232.5.

After closing out November by getting blown out in two of their final three contests, the Lakers have tightened up on defence, allowing just 99.5 points per game during their current 4-0 surge. However, most of that success has come on home court, leaving this squad with some challenges still to overcome on the road. Not including their NBA Cup victory in Las Vegas, the Lakers have been a disappointment on the road, going 4-7 so far this season, and allowing 119.5 points per game overall and 128 or more points in three of their past seven.

However, Davis was limited to just 10 points in last month’s loss to the Mavs, and just 17.8 points per game over his past four trips to Dallas. LeBron averaged 28.3 points over the final three games of the tourney, but has seen his production tail off in regular season action, scoring more than 18 points in just three of his past seven outings.

The Mavericks have managed to maintain their recent winning ways despite battling a rash of in juries that has sidelined Josh Green and Grant Williams, and left Kyrie Irving’s status for Tuesday in doubt. The absence of his usual supporting cast has not slowed down Luka Doncic, who has recorded 30 or more points in seven straight games, highlighted by a pair of spectacular 40-point performances during the team’s most recent homestand. However, Doncic was the lone Mavs starter to reach 20 points in Monday’s 120-113 win in Memphis. Veteran Tim Hardway Jr. has done his part to fill the void, recording 18.5 points per game off the bench over his past two outings. However, Hardaway missed Monday’s date with the Grizzlies due to back spasms, and is a game time decision on Tuesday.
