Los Angeles Lakers vs. Golden State Warriors Prediction, NBA Odds

The Lakers have three games to go, and trail San Antonio by three games without having the tiebreak for the final playoff spot. Los Angeles last played Tuesday at Phoenix, losing 121-110 for their seventh straight defeat.

At 50-29 Golden State is hanging on to third in the West with Dallas and Denver hot on their tail. The Warriors have been off since Sunday when they defeated Sacramento 109-90.

Tip-off at Chase Center is slated for 10 p.m. EDT, with the Warriors a 12.5-point favourite and the over-under at 221.5 on the NBA odds.

Lakers vs. Warriors NBA Betting Odds

During the 2021–22 season the Lakers have gone a respectable 20-20 on home court, but on the road it’s a different story with losses in 28 of their 39 away games and in 16 of their last 18. The over has hit in 23 of those 39 Lakers’ road games, and seven of their last 10 overall.

Head-to-head, the Warriors are 2-1 this season against the Lakers. Los Angeles has covered in five of their last six road games at Chase Center and are 2-1 ATS this season versus Golden State. LeBron James scored 56 points the last time these teams met — a Lakers win too.

Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers have listed James (left ankle sprain), Anthony Davis (right foot) and Russell Westbrook (right shoulder soreness) all as questionable for Thursday night. With L.A. out of the playoff race, don’t be surprised if all three sit out at Golden State.

James has missed two straight games with his ankle issue, so it was Westbrook picking up the offensive burden versus Phoenix with 28 points on 10 of 20 shooting from the field. Davis added 21 points and 12 rebounds against the Suns, so if all three are out it’s serious trouble.

Golden State Warriors

Golden State’s win Sunday marked their second in a row, and was a big turnaround after losing four straight. Of course, the Warriors’ recent slump has a lot to do with Steph Curry remaining out of the lineup with a sprained ankle. Curry won’t return until the playoffs.

Small forward Andrew Wiggins led Golden State Sunday with a game-high 25 points on eight of 16 shooting from the field. Jordan Poole added 22 points, and the Warriors bench contributed 54 of their 109 points. Klay Thompson sat out with injury management but should be back against the Lakers.

Thompson’s second on the club with 19.3 points per contest in 30 appearances this season. Curry leads the team in both points (25.5) and assists (6.3) per game.
