Dream vs. Valkyries WNBA Finals Game 7 Betting Odds, Picks: Golden State opens as 1.5-point home favourite
One game. One championship. And no shortage of drama.
Atlanta Dream and Golden State Valkyries meet Saturday at 8 p.m. ET at Chase Center in San Francisco in a winner-take-all Game 7 of the WNBA Finals.
Atlanta forced the decider with Thursday’s 80-69 victory, preventing Golden State from celebrating its first championship.
Both franchises are chasing their first title. The Dream are making their fourth Finals appearance, while the Valkyries could complete a championship run in just their second season.

Atlanta Dream vs. Golden State Valkyries WNBA Odds and Betting Trends
The Dream are 1.5-point favourites on the WNBA odds, with a -115 moneyline, despite being the away team. Golden State, which is 6-1 at home this postseason, including 2-1 in the Finals, is -105. The total is 142.5 points.
Four of the six Finals games have finished Under their respective closing totals, although Thursday’s Game 6 did go Over.
Golden State has scored fewer than 70 points in five of the six contests, while Atlanta has been held below 65 three times.
Atlanta Dream
Facing elimination Thursday, the Dream finally rediscovered their offensive rhythm.
Atlanta raced to a 25-point first-quarter lead before surviving Golden State’s comeback attempt.
Allisha Gray delivered 23 points, six rebounds, two steals and three blocks, while Rhyne Howard scored 21 points. Angel Reese added 15 points and 14 rebounds.
The Dream hit nine three-pointers between Gray and Howard, stretching a Golden State defence that had repeatedly suffocated their offence.
Atlanta’s challenge is reproducing that performance away from home.
The Dream managed just 55 points in Monday’s Game 5 loss at Chase Center, struggling to create quality opportunities against Golden State’s aggressive defensive rotations.
Reese must control the boards, while Gray and Howard need to maintain their shooting touch.
Otherwise, another offensive drought could prove fatal.
Golden State Valkyries
The Valkyries had their championship opportunity Thursday and spent much of the afternoon digging themselves out of an enormous hole.
Gabby Williams scored 26 points, including 21 after halftime, as Golden State reduced its deficit to eight in the fourth quarter.
But the comeback ultimately fell short.
Golden State’s offence has been inconsistent throughout the Finals, relying heavily on Williams to create scoring opportunities.
Veronica Burton and Tiffany Hayes must provide additional production, particularly when Atlanta pressures Williams.
Defensively, the Valkyries remain formidable.
They held the Dream to 55 points in Game 5 and have repeatedly disrupted Atlanta’s perimeter attack.
Golden State also returns to Chase Center, where its defensive intensity has helped compensate for shooting struggles.
The Valkyries don’t need an offensive masterpiece. They need stops, rebounds and enough scoring to survive.
WNBA Prediction: Who will win Dream vs. Valkyries?
Atlanta has the momentum after Thursday’s victory, and Gray and Howard should again provide scoring threats.
But the Dream looked primed to win their first title earlier in the series before dropping two straight clunkers in Games 4 and 5.
Golden State’s home-court advantage and defensive consistency could make the difference.
Expect a tense, physical contest with possessions becoming increasingly valuable down the stretch.
Williams should deliver another strong performance, while Golden State’s defence limits Atlanta’s opportunities.
Look for the Valkyries to complete their magical run with the Finals clincher at home.
Best bet: Take Golden State +1.5
Score prediction: Golden State 73-69 Atlanta.
