Only three games are scheduled on Thursday in the WNBA, one of which will include a highly anticipated matchup between the Las Vegas Aces and Indiana Fever.

The action between the Aces and Fever is set with an expected tip-off time of 7 p.m. ET and will be played at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. Check out the broadcast on Amazon Prime Video.

My article will preview this game between the Aces and Fever by providing a brief overview of the current betting odds, a deeper look at both teams and my best bet for the game.

Las Vegas Aces vs. Indiana Fever WNBA Odds and Betting Trends

The Fever are set as small favourites at -112 on the WNBA odds, though this game is nearly a pick’em with the Aces coming back as -108 underdogs.

In terms of the point spread, you can bet on the Fever -1.5 at odds of -102, and the Aces +1.5 at odds of -120.

The total for this game has been set absurdly high at 195.5 total points. It’s dead even on both ends, with the over and under priced at -110.

For what it’s worth, the Fever are 2-0 straight up and against the spread in games against the Aces this season.

Las Vegas Aces

The Aces enter this game with a record of 21-9, currently in second place in the WNBA Western Conference and second place in the overall WNBA standings. The Aces are coming off a blowout win against the Atlanta Dream, but they are just 6-4 straight up in their last 10 games.

The good news for Las Vegas is that they are one of the best road teams in the league, having posted an away record of 12-4 straight up. Having said that, they have not played well against Indiana in either of their two meetings this season, which casts doubt on their ability to figure it out against the Fever in this meeting.

Indiana Fever

The Fever enter this game with a record of 19-11 and are currently in first place in the WNBA’s Eastern Conference and fifth overall in the WNBA standings.

Indiana is coming off a loss to the Minnesota Lynx in their most recent game, but are still 7-3 straight up over their last 10 games.

To counter the Aces’ excellent away record, the Fever are one of the best home teams in the league. To this point, Indiana is 11-5 straight up at home this season, which includes three home wins in a row.

Additionally, the Fever are dealing with a few injuries, including Caitlin Clark. That said, she is listed as probable for this game.

WNBA Prediction: Who Will Win Las Vegas Aces vs. Indiana Fever?

With the total being set much too high, the best betting option looks to be a Fever win. As mentioned, Indiana has Las Vegas’ number this season. Both of their season meetings were played in Las Vegas, but Indiana still managed to win 84-68 in the first game and 109-75 in the second game, which is an average margin of victory of 25.0 points per game.

Given the success the Fever have had against the Aces this season and because they are one of the top home teams in the WNBA, backing the Indiana Fever to win this game, 88-81, is my best bet for Thursday night.
