Euro 2024 Top Scorer Odds, Prediction: Who Will Win the Golden Boot?
If there is one constant in soccer, many in the public adore the individual awards. It’s a good thing that sports journalism and other media have transferred over to digital because the amount of paper and ink spent on assessing who would win the Ballon D’Or every year must have been crazy.
In a similar vein are the individual awards at international tournaments, chief among them the Golden Boot which is given to the player who scores the most goals.
Euro 2024 has no shortage of players with a nose for goal, so let’s explore the Golden Boot odds.

Euro 2024 Golden Boot Betting Odds
To no one’s surprise, France’s Kylian Mbappe is at the top, priced at +450. Perhaps what some might not expect is that England’s Harry Kane is right alongside him, also carrying at +450 tag.

Kylian Mbappe
The 25-year-old Parisian netted a whopping 27 times for Paris Saint-Germain this season, which followed a 29-goal campaign in 2022-23. That campaign was interrupted by Qatar 2022, where Mbappe tallied eight markers for that competition’s Golden Boot. Before that was a 28-goal season in 2021-22 and, well, you get the idea. Speed, agility, power, he has it all, making him the single-most difficult player to nullify in a game.
Harry Kane
Kane’s search for a trophy – in England, for England, or in Germany – goes on, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t help his sides as best he can. He netted 213 times for Tottenham in 317 appearances, 36 times this season for Bayern Munich, and has smashed 63 goals for England’s senior side in 91 contests. Less athletically gifted than his French rival, he is nevertheless a cunningly intelligent scorer.
Cristiano Ronaldo

It’s very interesting that Cristiano Ronaldo is in third place with Romelu Lukaku, both priced at +1000. It’s not that Ronaldo lacks gravitas or a great career, but he hasn’t stepped onto the field to play against some of the world’s best in two years since he left for the Saudi Pro League. Yes, he scores like mad in the desert, but by the same token, that competition doesn’t garner as much attention for good reasons. He’s also 39 years old.
Romelu Lukaku
Lukaku is still a great player, but oddly enough his history of netting in big games is far from terrific. His bewildering, inept third group stage match in Qatar 2022 is partially what kept Belgium from progressing to the knockout stage. He had bad misses in the 2023 Champions League final too. He’s very good but can he win a Golden Boot? It doesn’t seem so.
Jude Bellingham

Jude Bellingham at +2000 seems like the player who should be in third. Perhaps two things place him a bit lower in the pecking order. For one, he is on the same team as Kane, so unless they both score like crazy, one or the other will have a superior tally. Second, he’s younger and less experienced on this stage than Kane. Does that mean he cannot tear up the field this summer in Germany? No, he absolutely can. He led Real Madrid with 19 goals this season, and that’s a team with Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo.
Euro 2024 Dark Horse Picks
Alvaro Morata
Alvaro Morata (+2500) has scored more than 10 goals in four of the past five seasons on three different teams. For Spain in 2022 (the year, not just the World Cup), he netter seven times in 11 matches, then bagged a quartet of goals in eight games in 2023.
Kai Havertz
Kai Havertz (+2500) scored only 19 goals in 91 matches for Chelsea, had a dreadful first few months in 2023-24 for Arsenal, but then rallied with 13 goals for the season. For Germany in 2022 (again, the year) he hit for five in 10 contests and has already struck twice in only four games this year.
Olivier Giroud
Respect is given to Olivier Giroud at +2500. He, not Mbappe, is France’s all-time leading goal scorer with 57. At 37 years old, he is hanging up his French cleats after Euro 2024. Incidentally, he played his last game in front of a home crowd the other day in a friendly. Against Canada no less.
Euro 2024 Golden Boot Prediction: Who Will Score the Most Goals?
Obvious bet: The safe bet is Mbappe. He is the ultimate specimen of the modern game’s goal-scorer. He may even have extra incentive to win it since, starting this fall, he won’t even be playing in Paris anymore given his imminent move to Real Madrid.
Riskier pick: If one is looking for a pick that has a legitimate chance of cashing in and is not priced too high, Jude Bellingham is a good one.
