Euro 2016 Group F Betting Odds and Predictions
Even with Ronaldo playing in this group, F is still considered one of the weaker groups in this tournament. Portugal, Hungary, Austria and Iceland will all be vying for the lead spot, and currently Portugal leads as odds favorite at -111. Not one of the teams in F have ever won the Euro, so it’ll be interesting to see who will challenge Portugal for top position in this group. The current odds suggest that Austria will give them their strongest challenge.

Euro 2016 Odds
Euro 2016 odds have France at +300 to win the entire tournament, tied with Germany as co-favourites.
Euro 2016 Odds – Group F
Portugal
Euro 2016 odds: +1900
FIFA Ranking: 7
All-time Records v. Group Members:
Record against Austria: W2 – D5 – L3
Record against Hungary: W7 – D3 – L0
Record against Iceland: W2 – D0 – L0
Player to Watch: Some guy named Cristiano Ronaldo.
Can the great Ronaldo carry a team to the final? His team hasn’t been to a final since the 2004 Euro, which they were hosting. Ronaldo led his team with five goals in the qualifying, but even with his help they only scored 11 goals in the ten games they played. Still, they are in a fairly easy group, so are expected to at the very least top this set of teams to move on to the next round.
Austria
Euro 2016 odds: +3900
FIFA Ranking: 10
All-time Records v. Group Members:
Record against Hungary: W40 – D31 – L66
Record against Iceland: W2 – D1 – L0
Record against Portugal: W3 – D5 – L2
Player to Watch: Forward Marc Janko got 7 goals for Austria in the qualifiers.
Austria was featured at Euro 2008 as a co-host with Switzerland but they haven’t qualified for a finals tournament since the 1998 World Cup. They earned their spot this year by topping Group G in the qualifiers with 28 points, 8 ahead of Russia. With odds priced at +200 in Group F, Austria could be the sleeper team and move further ahead in this tournament than people expect. Captain Christian Fuchs and playmaker David Alaba alongside Marc Janko will be playing at their best and should be able to carry this team into at least the next round.
Iceland
Euro 2016 odds: +9900
FIFA Ranking: 36
All-time Records v. Group Members:
Record against Austria: W0 – D1 – L2
Record against Hungary: W3 – D0 – L7
Record against Portugal: W0 – D0 – L2
Player to Watch: Gylfi Sigurdsson led Iceland with six goals in their 10 qualifiers.
Before this year’s tournament, which will be their first major world tournament appearance, Iceland’s best qualification record for the Euro was a third place finish in their group in 2004. They should not be counted out as underdogs to do well in this group, since they qualified for it by winning 6 games in the qualifiers and finishing as runners-up in Group A.
Hungary
Euro 2016 odds: +29900
FIFA Ranking: 20
All-time Records v. Group Members:
Record against Austria: W66 – D31 – L40
Record against Iceland: W7 – D0 – L3
Record against Portugal: W0 – D3 – L7
Player to Watch: Gabor Kiraly
The +1100 underdogs in Group F, Hungary finished third in their qualifying before beating Norway in a playoff to get here. This is their first EURO final tournament since 1972. Most of their roster is made up of domestic players, and they’ll be defending more than they’ll be scoring, and counting on their 40-year-old keeper Gabor Kiraly to give them a fighting chance to move beyond this stage.
