The Predators will be gunning for a fifth straight victory after posting a 3-2 victory in Calgary on Tuesday night. The Oilers vie for a third straight win, and their eighth in nine outings so far this season, after tallying a decisive 5-2 victory on Monday over the expansion Seattle Kraken.

The Oilers look to Wednesday’s matchup at Rogers Place perched as -213 home favourites to win on the NHL odds, with the total pegged at 6.0.

Predators vs. Oilers NHL Betting Odds

The Predators look to maintain their recent stingy ways when they hit the ice on Wednesday as +177 underdogs. Nashville has emerged as a steady road bet this season, winning outright in two of three contests, all while pegged as a betting underdog. The club has limited opponents to just seven total goals during their current 4-0-0 run, and have seen the UNDER prevail in six of eight outings. Conversely, the Oilers have consistently filled the net this season, scoring at least five goals on five occasions. That trend has helped push the odds favouring the OVER to -115.

Wednesday night’s contest marks the first meeting between these two teams since March 2020. The Oilers have posted wins in four of their past five head-to-head dates. Edmonton has also allowed more than three goals just once in their past eight matchups with Nashville. That has helped maintain a steady run of success for the UNDER, which has gone 11-3-4 over the past 18 meetings.

Nashville Predators

Not known for their prolific scoring, the Predators have powered their early-season surge with great goaltending. The club has managed to shut down opposing shooters thanks largely to the sensational play of netminder Juuse Saros, who has surrendered two or fewer goals in five of seven starts despite seeing his club get outshot in four of his past five outings. However, with the club playing on back-to-back nights, rookie goalie Connor Ingram is expected to get the call on Wednesday. The 24-year-old backstopped Nashville to a 5-2 win in Minnesota 10 days ago. That contest featured a two-point performance from Filip Forsberg. The talented Swede has scored three times during the club’s win streak, and leads Nashville with four goals, but his availability is in question on Wednesday after leaving Tuesday’s win with an undisclosed injury.

Edmonton Oilers

The Oilers return to action following Monday’s victory over Seattle, aiming for their fifth win in six home dates so far this season. Edmonton has averaged 4.4 goals per game on home ice, but has seen two of its four home victories come by just a single goal. Leon Draisaitl has led the Oilers attack on home ice. The big German racked up four points in Monday’s victory, and has now tallied four goals and nine assists in five home dates. That is bad news for the Predators, who have seen Draisaitl pile up 14 goals and two assists over their past seven matchups with Edmonton.
