The Art Ross Trophy is given to the player who leads the league in scoring points at the end of the regular season. Last year, Patrick Kane scored 106 points became the first American-born player to win the Art Ross. He’s +500 to win again this year, but the Penguin’s Sidney Crosby is ahead of him and the current favorite at +200. Crosby has won the Art Ross twice before, in 2007 and in 2014. Rounding out the top three is Connor McDavid, who is +595 even though he hasn’t even played a full season in the NHL yet, since he was injured last season in his rookie year.
Prediction: Sidney Crosby

Ovechkin has won it three times already, and Crosby has won it twice.

Calder Trophy Winner Odds

The Calder Memorial Trophy is given to the player selected as the most proficient in his first year of competition in the NHL. Previous rookies to win this award include Artemi Panarin, who took home the honor last year, Aaron Ekblad and Nathan MacKinnon. Sidney Crosby, despite finishing his rookie season with more than 100 points, did NOT win the Calder, he lost it to Alex Ovechkin, who had 52 goals and 106 points in his first season. This year Auston Matthews is the big favorite to win at -145. Patrik Laine is listed next at +400 and the Toronto Maple Leaf’s William Nylander cracks the top three at +800.

Norris Trophy Winner Odds

The James Norris Trophy is given to the defense player who demonstrates throughout the season the greatest all-around ability in the position. During his career, Nicklas Lidston took home the Norris seven times, and Bobby Orr won it eight years in a row. Last year, the honor went to Drew Doughty, and he’s at +600 to win it again. Ahead of him is Erik Karlsson who is listed at +290. Kris Letang, PK Subban, Duncan Keith and Brent Burns are all priced just below Doughty at +700.

Braden Holtby won it last year, and Carey Price won it the year before. This year, Price is the favorite to win at +345, with Holtby just behind him in the odds at +500.
