The Hurricanes have done a terrific job on the defensive end and in goal this series – but they’re about to face a significant test, with starting netminder Petr Mrazek expected to miss Game 3 with a lower-body injury. Mrazek, who was injured near the midway point of Game 2, will be replaced by journeyman Curtis McElhinney, who turned aside all 17 shots he faced in relief. McElhinney went 20-11-2 with a 2.58 goals-against average during the season.
