Simply put, they’ve looked like a completely different team down the stretch compared to the beginning. Even the St. Louis Blues, Vancouver’s next opponent, seems to be catching on as of late. They’ve won four out of their last six games. Which of these two season-long laggards can come out on top even with no playoff implications?
Canucks vs. Blues NHL Betting Odds
The Canucks are 6-1 in their last seven games when going up against a team with a losing record on the season and are 10-2 in their last 12 games played overall. The total has gone over 32-15-5 over the span of their last 52 games played on the road. It’s also 34-15-2 in their last 51 games played on a Tuesday.
On the other hand, St. Louis is just 1-7 in their last eight games when playing in the fourth matchup of a 4-in-6 situation. They are also just 5-12 in their previous 17 contests when going up against teams from the Western Conference. The over has hit in five of their last seven against Pacific Division teams and four of their last five against teams with a losing overall record.

Where has this play been from the Canucks all season? Vancouver has scored a total of 14 goals in their last three games while holding opponents to just five in that same span. Much of their recent offensive help can be attributed to Elias Pettersson as he’s currently holding onto a 12-game point streak.
If the last few games have shown us anything, it’s that we’ll likely see one with Thatcher Demko in the crease. Him and Collin Delia have been alternating in the net throughout the last 10 games and with Delia starting the last game, we should see Demko. He is currently playing some of his best hockey on the season with a 7-3-0 record, a 2.11 GAA, and a .925 save percentage throughout the month of March. Vancouver is turning up the heat.
St. Louis Blues
If there’s one thing that St. Louis has gotten more used to, it’s higher-scoring games. Their last few games have seen a lot of goals slip into the back of the net on both sides. They might have to battle their way through another high-scoring contest when Vancouver comes to town.
Jordan Binnington is projected to be in net for the Blues and he’s certainly had a month (and season) to forget. After being suspended for a few games over a fight, Binnington has looked flat. In March, he’s been 2-4-0 with a 4.02 GAA and a .869 save percentage. That’s a big reason why the Blues have been playing lots of overs.
The Blues have been ramping up their offense lately to make up for the leaky defense. Jordan Kyrou scored two goals in the team’s 7-6 loss to the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday. He now has10 points in his last nine games.
