Auston Matthews vs. Connor Bedard: Who Will Have More Points?

As of publication, it’s the Leafs’ forward who is favoured at -149. The Blackhawks’ Bedard isn’t lightyears behind though at +130.
It’s important to keep in mind that Auston Matthews has played out of his mind through two games this season. He scored a hat trick against the Canadiens mid-week and did the same on Saturday night against the visiting Minnesota Wild. His shooting percentage is a beguiling 46.2 per cent at the time of writing.
Connor Bedard has been no slouch either. Through three games he’s tallied a trio of points, comprised of one goal and two helpers. In fact, he notched a point in each contest so far. He certainly isn’t shy about shooting the puck, having registered 16 attempts on target already.
It could be a good bet for Connor. We already know that he’s heavily involved in the offence and Toronto has been leaky behind the blue line and in net through two games, conceding an alarming 12 goals. It’s Chicago, who had one of the worst defences in the NHL last season, who has been impressively stout at limiting the damage caused by the opposition.
