Ravens vs. Browns Point Spread: NFL Week 15 Odds, Prediction

The 9-4 Ravens are currently leading the AFC North, but are very banged up at the quarterback position and could again have third-string pivot Anthony Brown under centre. Saturday’s near do-or-die for the 5-8 Browns who are coming off a divisional loss to Cincinnati. Baltimore took care of Pittsburgh last week, advancing to 3-0 in their division this season.

Kickoff at FirstEnergy Stadium starts at 4:30 p.m. EST with the Browns 2.5-point favourites at home and the total at 38.5 on the NFL odds.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Both the spread and total could see heavy movement based around what happens at quarterback with the Ravens. Star quarterback Lamar Jackson (knee) went down two games ago and didn’t practice Tuesday, while backup Tyler Huntley was limited in practice with a concussion. Right now, Huntley appears to be questionable to play and that is mainly why Cleveland is a small favourite.

Head-to-head, Baltimore’s covered in seven of their last eight trips to Cleveland. The Browns are both 3-3 straight up and ATS on home field this season, with the over 4-1-1 in those six games. Four of the Ravens last five games against AFC North opponents have finished under.

Baltimore Ravens

Life on offence has been tough for Baltimore without Jackson. They’ve scored 26 points in their last two outings but have still managed to end up with two wins due to stellar play on defence. It was still against two of the league’s worst offences, but the Ravens defence forced five turnovers in the last two weeks. And more importantly, Baltimore hasn’t turned it over at all.

Huntley and Brown combined for 17 passes and 94 last week, as predictably the Ravens leaned even harder into running the football J.K. Dobbins led the Ravens with 15 carries for 120 yards and a touchdown in his first game since October 16. Gus Edwards also carried the ball 13 times for 66 yards as the Ravens are now second in the NFL with 162.2 rushing yards per game.

Cleveland Browns

A total of 276 passing yards was definitely an improvement for Deshaun Watson last weekend, but the Browns offence again failed to score many points with their highly-paid pivot and lost 23-10 at Cincinnati. Watson threw his first touchdown pass as a Brown in the loss, a 13-yard pass to tight end David Njoku.

What’s more concerning is Cleveland rushed for 71 yards on 25 attempts, including a team-high 34 rushing yards from Nick Chubb. The Browns are still a top-five rushing offence but have had a 100-yard rusher in only two games since Week 6. With Saturday’s bout with Baltimore likely a battle of the run games, the Browns need to make the most of their run calls.
