Raiders vs. Broncos Point Spread: NFL Week 11 Odds, Prediction
It’s a clash of faltering AFC West rivals in NFL Week 11 action. The Raiders are coming a 25-20 loss to the visiting Indianapolis Colts, and travel to Denver riding a six-game losing streak on the road that dates back to last season. The Broncos are coming off a disappointing performance in last week’s 17-10 loss in Tennessee, but have won two of four contests this season at Mile High Stadium.
The Broncos have made slight gains since opening as 2-point favourites, climbing to 2.5-point chalk, and have emerged as a short -119 bet to cover the spread. The total has steadily faded since opening at 43.5, tumbling to 41.5, with the UNDER attracting 70% of the betting action.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
Sunday afternoon’s matchup marks the second and final meeting of the season between these divisional rivals. The Raiders romped to a 32-23 win when they hosted the Broncos in Week 4, extending their current head-to-head win streak to five games. Las Vegas has averaged an impressive 33 points per game while twice claiming victory in Denver during that streak, ending a four-game road slide when facing the Broncos. Overall, the Raiders have scored at least 32 points in four of their past five clashes with Denver. But the OVER has paid out just three times in four dates, and just four times in 15 matchups. Overall, the Raiders have also dominated at the sportsbook when taking on the Broncos, going 9-1 against the spread over their past 10 including a 3-1 run on the road.
Las Vegas Raiders
The Broncos were unable to close the deal after seizing a 10-0 first-half lead over the Titans last week. After allowing Tennessee to get back into the game with a touchdown just before the half, the Broncos attack fell flat after recess, generating just 107 total yards including 50 yards on their ill-fated final drive of the game, which ended with an interception in the dying seconds. The loss marked the Broncos’ fifth loss in six outings, and did nothing to alleviate concerns about an offence that has averaged just 13 points per game over their past five outings, and ranks dead last with just 14.6 points per game. That situation is not helped by the crippling wave of injuries the team is enduring. A total of 14 players have either been limited or sidelined at practice this week. Among the most notable are receivers Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler, as well as center Graham Glasgow and veteran guard Tom Compton. Those injuries on the offensive line offer little relief for quarterback Russell Wilson, who was sacked six times last weekend.
Denver Broncos
Already struggling to generate consistent offence, injuries could also be a big factor in the Raiders’ bid to end their road slide. The club has scored just 40 total points during their current three-game swoon, and have scored 20 or fewer points in four of their six recent road losses. Quarterback Derek Carr is among the long list of players on this week’s injury report as he deals with a back issue. However, Carr has remained somewhat consistent while tossing for two scores in each of his past two outings, and 13 times overall, against just five picks. Things could get much tougher for Carr and the Raiders if Davante Adams is unavailable for Sunday after being limited at practice with an abdominal injury. Adams has been one of the few bright spots for this team of late, making three scoring passes and averaging 136 receiving yards per game over the past two games. However, maintaining that pace against the Broncos’ top-ranked pass defence, which has allowed a league-low six touchdown passes this season will be tough.
