Are you ready for some slippery football? Well, it doesn’t matter, because some teams and attendees are going to get it anyway. Cleveland, New York, and Baltimore are all expected to get wet this Sunday.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Cleveland Browns

The Dawg Pound is going to be a soggy pound on Sunday afternoon when the Jacksonville Jaguars, possibly sans Trevor Lawrence, visit the Cleveland Browns. The forecast calls for 60 per cent of the region to receive rain all afternoon. Winds won’t be too dramatic, but still hover around 17 miles per hour, or 27 kilometers an hour.

Houston Texans at New York Jets

MetLife Stadium is going to end up being one of the wetter venues to play this season. From the opening weekend through the upcoming Week 14 match pitting the Houston Texans and New York Jets, it seems as though the Giants or Jets play in rain every week. 87 per cent of the region is going to get showers. Worse, the winds at the start of the game will already be at 19 miles per hour and pick up to 24 as the day evolves (38 kilometres an hour).

Los Angeles Rams at Baltimore Ravens

Los Angeles-based team, say hello to Maryland on a wet December afternoon. It’s not actually going to be very cold (15 degrees Celsius) but 100 per cent of the territory is getting rain and that percentage remains stable throughout the afternoon. Oh, and wind at 48 kilometres an hour.  This could be a miserable game to attend, not to mention play in.

Green Bay Packers at New York Giants

The weather in New York (or New Jersey, what have you) doesn’t get as cold as some cities in Canada, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t flirt with freezing. On Monday night when the Packers visit the Giants, Sunday’s rain will have subsided, but in its wake will be a chill. It’s not expected to get any warmer than 4 Celsius. Adding to the challenge will be winds of up to 27 miles per hour, or 34 kilometres an hour.
