Two 13-8 squads meet up in Brooklyn Tuesday as the New York Liberty host the Dallas Wings at Barclays Center at 8 p.m. ET.

New York has lost four of six regular-season games, but the Liberty just finished off a very important week. They defeated the Las Vegas Aces a week ago to win their second Commissioner’s Cup title. New York followed that with a thorough 99-86 victory over league-leading Minnesota on Friday.

Breanna Stewart had 36 points and seven rebounds, Jonquel Jones added 14 points and 15 rebounds, and Sabrina Ionescu had 17 points as the four-time All-Star continues to work back from various injuries that have cost her 12 games.

The Wings have won the first two games on their current four-game road trip. Paige Bueckers had 22 points and seven assists, Azzi Fudd added 17 points, and Jessica Shepard totalled 14 points and 15 rebounds as Dallas moved into a tie with the Liberty for fourth place.

This is the second of three regular-season meetings between the teams. Bueckers and Fudd both tallied 24 points as the Wings won in Brooklyn in May, 91-76.

Dallas Wings vs. New York Liberty WNBA Odds and Betting Trends

New York is listed as a 4.5-point home favourite on the WNBA odds with a -198 moneyline, while Dallas’s moneyline is at +164.

The Wings have won two straight and three of four on the road. New York has won six of seven at home. The Liberty are 8-4 straight up and against the spread at Barclays, including the Commissioner’s Cup championship game last week.

The over/under for this contest is 175.5. The Liberty have played to the over in six of eight.

Dallas Wings

Dallas’ 13 victories surpass its wins total from each of the past two seasons. The Wings are ascending behind Bueckers, who is averaging 24.8 points in her last five games.

Fudd is up to 13.3 points per game, good for third on the team. The 2026 No. 1 overall pick, who scored a then-career-high 24 points against New York in May, is getting more and more comfortable in her role as the season progresses.

And don’t forget about Shepard, who qualifies as a steal after signing a two-year contract with Dallas after spending the first seven years of her career with Minnesota. She is averaging 14.2 points and 11.4 rebounds, which are both career highs. She has 12 double-doubles.

New York Liberty

The Liberty shot 58 per cent (36-62) from the field against Minnesota. That’ll do. All five starters scored in double figures, including Pauline Astier, who had 14 points and six assists, and Leonie Fiebich, who contributed 13 points.

Ionescu’s 17 points came on the back of her season-high 26 against Las Vegas in the Commissioner’s Cup championship. Stewart needs the other half of her power duo back in full form, and she appears closer than she has been all season.

Fiebich is questionable for Tuesday’s contest with foot soreness. That’s a problem, because Satou Sabally, who is averaging 10.4 points per game, has missed four straight while in concussion protocol. The same thing happened to her last year in the WNBA finals with Phoenix, so this could be a consistent issue going forward.

WNBA Prediction: Who will win Wings vs. Liberty?

Dallas could easily take this one. The Wings are 7-5 on the road and have already proven they can knock off the Liberty at Barclays this season.

But Ionescu could be the difference here. She had 11 points, seven assists, and five rebounds when these teams met in May. That was her first game of the season, and she immediately went back on the injured list. It’s different this time around.

Take New York to win and cover as the 4.5-point home favourite, 93-87.
