NFL Point Spreads Week 7: Best Picks Against the Spread

Crushing news for those who hold a Green Bay Packers futures ticket as they may have lost star quarterback Aaron Rodgers for the season. For this week, on the bye are Detroit and Houston. Here’s a quick look at all the Week 7 matchups with Sports Interaction NFL odds. Games Sunday unless noted.

Kansas City Chiefs at Oakland Raiders, Thursday

Members of the 1972 Miami Dolphins can officially celebrate as there will be no unbeaten team in the NFL this year following Kansas City’s 19-13 home upset loss to Pittsburgh on Sunday. Oakland welcomed back QB Derek Carr from a one-game injury absence but still lost a fourth straight game, 17-16 to the Chargers. Kansas City swept Oakland last year, winning each by at least 8 points. That was the tiebreaker that eventually gave the Chiefs the AFC West title.

Point spread: Chiefs -2.5
Pick ATS: Oakland

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Buffalo Bills

Buffalo is off its bye week. The line will change if Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston can’t play. He left Sunday’s 38-33 loss in Arizona with a shoulder injury in the first quarter. X-rays were negative, but Winston was to have an MRI on Monday. Ryan Fitzpatrick is his backup.

Point spread: Bills -3
Pick ATS: Buffalo

Carolina Panthers at Chicago Bears

The Cats have been consistent this season: two wins, a loss, two wins, a loss. They are on extra rest after a 28-23 home defeat to Philadelphia last Thursday. Carolina was near midfield with around two minutes left but couldn’t gain one yard on third and fourth down. Chicago got its first road win since 2015 and first for rookie QB Mitchell Trubisky in a 27-24 overtime upset in Baltimore on Sunday.

Point spread: Panthers -3.5
Pick ATS: Carolina

Tennessee Titans at Cleveland Browns

The Titans are on a short week after hosting Indianapolis on Monday. QB Marcus Mariota was set to play after missing Week 5 with a hamstring injury. Cleveland is now 1-21 under Coach Hue Jackson following a 33-17 loss in Houston. Kevin Hogan made his first NFL start at QB and threw for just 140 yards and three picks. The Browns with QB problems? Shocker. Tennessee beat visiting Cleveland 28-26 last year behind three Mariota touchdown passes.

Point Spread: TBA
Pick ATS: TBA

New Orleans Saints at Green Bay Packers

Unfortunately, we won’t see a matchup of future Hall of Fame quarterbacks Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers. Brees will be on the field, but Rodgers broke his right collarbone in Sunday’s loss to the Vikings, and his season is over. That changes everything in the NFC North and the conference as a whole. He had been the early MVP favourite as well. New Orleans won its third straight game, 52-38 vs. Detroit – easily the highest-scoring game in the NFL this year.

Point spread: Saints -4.5
Pick ATS: New Orleans

Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts

Short week for Indianapolis after visiting Tennessee on Monday. Andrew Luck didn’t play that one and won’t make his season debut here, either. Jacksonville lost 27-17 at home to the Rams. Rookie running back Leonard Fournette had 130 yards rushing and a TD but sprained his ankle in the fourth quarter. The Jags think he will play here. These AFC South rivals split two close games in 2016, with the Colts prevailing 24-20 at home.

Point Spread: TBA
Pick ATS: TBA

Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams

This game is from Twickenham Stadium in London but doesn’t have a 9:30 a.m. ET start time as the two earlier London games this season at Wembley Stadium did. It kicks off at 1 p.m. ET. The NFC West rivals split last season. Adrian Peterson made his Arizona debut on Sunday and looked back in his prime, rushing for 134 yards and two scores in a 38-33 win over Tampa. L.A. already has matched its win total from last year following a 27-17 victory in Jacksonville.

Point spread: Rams -3.5
Pick ATS: Los Angeles

New York Jets at Miami Dolphins

It’s the last meeting between AFC East foes already as Miami lost at the Jets 20-6 in Week 3. Josh McCown was 18-for-23 for 249 yards and a touchdown, a 69-yarder to Robby Anderson. Jay Cutler was 26-for-44 for 220 yards with a TD and a pick, while Jay Ajayi was held to 16 yards on 11 carries. The Dolphins avoided a shutout on the game’s final play.

Point spread: Dolphins -3.5
Pick ATS: Miami

Baltimore Ravens at Minnesota Vikings

Baltimore was upset at home, 27-24 in overtime by the Bears as the Ravens turned it over three times and allowed one-dimensional Chicago to rush for 231 yards. The Vikings changed the outlook in the NFC North and the conference by breaking Rodgers’ collarbone in Sunday’s 23-10 win over the Packers. Minnesota’s Case Keenum started again for the injured Sam Bradford at QB and threw for a touchdown.

Point spread: Vikings -5
Pick ATS: Baltimore

Dallas Cowboys at San Francisco 49ers

The Cowboys come off their bye week. As of right now, star running back Ezekiel Elliott is suspended six games again after the NFL got a legal victory in the U.S. courts last Thursday, but that could be put back on hold this week as the NFLPA is appealing. Just a ridiculous mess. The Niners remain winless but each of the past five defeats are by three points or fewer.

Point spread: Cowboys -6
Pick ATS: Dallas

Seattle Seahawks at New York Giants

Seattle is off its bye and catches a break here with a 4:25 p.m. ET start instead of one at 10 a.m. Pacific time. The injury-ravaged Giants were double-digit dogs Sunday in Denver and pulled out a 23-10 victory, their first of the season despite just 266 yards of offense. The Giants defense forced three turnovers.

Point spread: Seahawks -6
Pick ATS: Seattle

Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers

Cincinnati healed up on its bye in Week 6 but also learned it would be without former Pro Bowl tight end Tyler Eifert for the rest of the season due to back surgery. His career might be over as it’s a third surgical procedure on his back. Pittsburgh comes off an upset at previously unbeaten Kansas City. The Steelers swept the Bengals last season.

Point spread: Steelers -6
Pick ATS: Pittsburgh

Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers

Final meeting between AFC West rivals. Denver edged L.A. 24-21 in Week 1 by deflecting a 44-yard field goal try of Chargers rookie Younghoe Koo with one second left. Koo had hit the kick a minute prior, but the Broncos were granted a timeout just beforehand to ice the kicker. Koo has since been released. Will Denver have starting QB Trevor Siemian for this one? He was injured in Sunday night’s loss to the Giants.

Point spread: Broncos -2.5
Pick ATS: L.A.

Atlanta Falcons at New England Patriots

The Sunday night game and arguably the most-anticipated matchup of the 2017 regular season as it’s a rematch of February’s Super Bowl LI in Houston. The Patriots staged the greatest rally in the game’s history and won 34-28 in overtime – the first-ever Super Bowl overtime.

Point spread: Patriots -3
Pick ATS: New England

Washington Redskins at Philadelphia Eagles, Monday

The Eagles are the NFC’s first team to five wins after a 28-23 victory in Carolina last Thursday, so they are practically off a bye week to rest up. The Redskins came out of their bye and edged winless San Francisco 26-24 on Sunday. Kirk Cousins threw for 330 yards and two scores. Washington swept Philadelphia in 2016 and has taken the past five in the series.

Point spread: Eagles -4.5
Pick ATS: Philadelphia
